Looks great, nice work.

oh, i'm not sure if this is cool to post (if not, delete this), but I do freelance work, so if any one wants drawings, animations, etc, hit me up. I recently graduated with a BS in Media Art and Animation (aka i need money!), so I'm your go-to-guy! :P

i would do something with his feet, they don't look comfortable where they are...i dunno, maybe the toes should be more pointy or they should be more definition as he fights to keep his form through the air...

also the wide web pattern of the swing doesn't correlation with the direction he's looking at, his webbing implies he's moving directly forward but his body language and his head suggests he's going to his left or at least wants to.

also not too keen about his eye mask colour.

apart from all that and the fact he's a skinny spidey (i like mine more beefy), i think it's a really good job..

hope the criticism goes down well, i thought i might as well say something constructive.

thanks for the comments.

in terms of the angle of swing and body positioning, i see your point, however it is a single drawing in what would be an entire web swing/shot through the air, so no telling what spidey is trying to accomplish here! :) i guess i imagined him leaping into the air, and shooting two weblines out, similtaneously pulling down on them, going for a sling shot type of effect moments later.

his eye color was a rush job, however i am planning on throwing in a background with a orangey-yellow vide to it (ala the movie posters).

If you cant tell, I'm a huge fan of JRJR :) with just a tad bit of macfarlen thrown in - although beefy spidey (if done right) is cool too!

thanks for the compliments and critiques (they are totally welcome!)

oh, and if you look closely, you can see one of his spinnerettes (i HATE when the artists and movies dont have them!).

what are peoples thoughts on the webbing? i've never fancied my self good at depicting his webs (which sucks for being an artist who loves spidey!). it took about twenty minutes of redrawing/tweaking the weblines to get them to what they are now.

Pretty sweet man.I dont know why you rarely post but I hope we see more from you.I think the webing looks rather good like that.Be even better if you had some kind of background goin on then lowered the opacity on em...Itd be a good effect and would please me to see them more transparent for a change.
Again nice work-Anyman whos a fan of Junior is cool with me

It's a very cool pic. I love the lighting....makes me think Spidey is swinging straight into the sunset.

It reminds me of John Romita Jr.....hope you don't mind the comparison, I myself dig the "lean Spidey" look:

I'd love to see it with a background.

thanks! actually, the webs are semi-transparent (you can kinda tell around the leg). but yeah, once i get a background on this you will be able to see it better. and yeah, now that i have time to draw since i graduated college, i'll try to throw some more work on here. any requests/ideas?

ha, no its cool man. I make no attempts to deny JRJR is a huge influence on my spidey's. He is the only spider-man artist in my book (although JRSR and Bagely are awesome and I do dig aspects of Macfarlen's work). thanks for the comments!
