A new X-Men cartoon starring Deadpool is nice. But I really want some new adult animation starring the X-Statix. There are three reasons why it wouldn't work in live action.
1. Effects for Venus Dee Milo would be too expensive for a TV show and X-Statix works best as a sitcom.
2. Effects for Doop would be too expensive even if it were a film. A nine-figure tentpole would still blow most of its budget on Doop.
3. Mike Allred's art style is iconic and it wouldn't look like X-Statix without the same superflat look. X-Statix looked like a woodcutting and that's much of the appeal.
