No Johnny Lee Miller?

I'm always down for more Sherlock Holmes. The fact that this is set in a time period you don't normally see Holmes in is just a bonus.

Can we have flashbacks with Sherlock played by Fassy? :awesome:

So we have a Sherlock in the past, a Sherlock in America and one in the present. Is sir Ian's set in the future? Because that would rock

Looking forward to it but I have doubts about the director since he directed both parts of Breaking Dawn. I wonder when it will be released.

He also directed the very acclaimed Gods and Monsters, starring McKellen.

How much Sherlock is too much? F**k it it's Ian McKellen. Sold.

One of Britain's greatest actors playing one of Britain's greatest icons.

Take my wallet.

It's based on the book A slight trick of the Mind which is apparently about an elderly Holmes recounting his life, so I'm assuming there is going to be a younger lead cast to play the younger holmes?

There's a clip of this up on YouTube. As always, McKellen appears on top of his game.

Thanks for the bump man as the poster was revealed today.

Do we have a release date for this yet?

McKellen was robbed of his Best Actor win for Gods and Monsters. Second time's the charm?

It will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in two night's but not sure of the wider release date.

We'll get some reactions at least, which is good.

This movie somehow fell off my radar. Never again.

Looking forward to this. Any one familiar with Colin Starkey, who plays Watson apparently. Even though I have a feeling that this story focuses more on Holmes as an aging loner.
