I'm curious to know what everyone around here thinks would have been the perfect Batman/Superman combo for their own idea of a BvS film.

Personally, I think Reeve/Keaton would have the best because back then, Hollywood wasn't obsessed with making every superhero movie dark/gritty/realistic and the tones for the respective characters were bang on. My second choice would be Bale/Cavill because I loved the Nolan films but more importantly because I think Bale's Batman would've made more of an effort to learn all he can about Superman and understanding why he is the way he is as opposed to outright hating him like Batfleck.

Well if we're talking about ideal cast , this would be my idea cast

Superman/Clark Kent: Chris Reeve
Batman/Bruce Wayne: Michael Keaton
Joker : Heath Ledger
Lex Luthor: Michael Rosenbum
Lois Lane: Teri Hatcher
Perry White: Lane Smith
Jimmy Olsen: Aaron Ashmore
Alfred Pennyworth: Michael Caine
Harley Quinn:Margo Robbie

yes...I know they're from different eras and mediums , but this would be the cast I would personally wanna see in a BvS film .

I actually prefer them being kept separate, but I think Bale and Cavill match up the best, theoretically speaking.

depends on the stories.

I would love to see
Bale - Routh movie or
a Keaton - Reeve movie or
even a Adam West - George Reeves , Batman -Superman movie.

No, Bale - Routh is a better match up.

Also, Keaton - Reeve movie would have been a great idea.

I haven't seen Superman Returns since its release in theatres but I wonder if he just wasn't given a fair chance at being Superman. He had the look and the personality. Hell knows his Superman was a much better good guy than Cavill's homicidal maniac. He would've been the ideal contrast to Bale's Batman.

I recently saw returns & enjoyed it more than I remember. I think Routh made a fine superman (it was just that he was following Reeve's blueprint & the inevitable comparisons happened)

It's similar to Spacey in the same film. I think, using a different version of the character, he could have been a much better Luther than what we saw on screen.

They both played specific versions of characters that probably didn't do the actors any favors, yet that doesn't mean they wouldn't be capable of presenting better versions.

Bats - early 70s Eastwood
Supes - late 70s Reeve

I'd like to see a Routh (in the MoS costume)/ Affleck Batman matchup

My cast would be

Clark Kent/Superman- Henry Cavill
Bruce Wayne/Batman- Christian Bale
Lex Luthor- Mark Strong
Lois Lane- Rachel McAdams
Perry White- Alec Baldwin
Jimmy Olsen- Caleb Landry Jones
Alfred Pennyworth- Michael Caine
Joker- Jared Leto
Harley Quinn- Margot Robbie

I know there's a lot of people annoyed at casting choices but I wouldn't change any of the actors in this current DC movie verse. I even liked the little that was shown of Leto's joker. I just personally wish he was the main baddie in suicide squad.

Halle Berry's cat woman is easily my favourite. I think it's one of the most unintentional funny movies ever it's so bad.
The basketball scene is comedy gold.
I've found all the catwoman depictions kinda bad .
