Yes, I blame DC. THey always worded his "control" over animals as "talks to animal" and people take it the wrong way

You, I and the people who watched JLU know that. The public has that perception of him. That's all there is to it.

You have to get WB to make it first.

Wonder Woman can't even get a cartoon series of her own now and she's never had a big budget film greenlit. Animal Man would have a harder time to get made then her.

i agree with the first list, WW should be DC's top priority, especially with all the hype she got in July about the new DTV. Aquaman could work as movie, but it would have to be very carefully monitored by DC, its a shame the TV series was canceled, it had a lot of potential

What hype?! WW isn't even in the top 3 in popularity in DC anymore! Flash took that title a loooong time ago, with GL fastly gaining! Guarantee a GL movie would do ALOT better than a WW movie, even though the public may know more about WW. Popularity doesn't always equal success. If that's the case, Iron Man and Superman wouldve switches box office numbers a long time ago!

yahoo and other websites had several articles on Wonder Woman and how they want a movie. plus Wonder Woman and Lynda Carter were on the top searches list several times on yahoo. comic con had a section devoted to her new movie and there were bags with her face going around. Then the WW DTV trailer was on several websites.

i think that would be considered "hype," where's all the stuff about flash? now where, supermax and green lantern have gotten more attention lately

That's why I said POPULARITY doesn't always generate BO success. Superman is more well known than IM but who won that battle? Not saying that's always the case but......eh. WW lost a popularity contest to Storm! STORM! Not saying it means much but it just.....says a lot.

your post didnt make sense because you contradicted yourself by saying Wonder Woman wasnt popular but then saying she was. I dont know why you would think a GL would do better then WW, there is no evidence to prove a statement like that.

BO success has a lot of factors, if a WW and a GL film were made in the same quality, same advertisement, same marketing, same everything i guarantee WW would make more BO money. why because she's more popular.

SR had superman in it but it had unpopular themes in it, it wasnt a quality film, and it wasnt advertised right. whereas IM had quality, it was scheduled at the right time and it was advertised correctly. if WB had done those things with SR it owuld have made more money

Storm has been in 3 big budget live action movies. WW hasn't had one.

How do you expect her to get box office success without a movie? She can't ring up the WB execs to complain about it!

WW is worse then that. Marvel has allowed the public to know Storm's mythos she's involved in and explored her personality. WB hasn't done an awful job of it. I bet most people don't even realize who her enemies are, her full origin, what powers she has or her real name is Diana Prince.

Not saying that's always the case but......eh. WW lost a popularity contest to Storm! STORM! Not saying it means much but it just.....says a lot.

Look at the differences in how each company treats the character.

WW - 1 animated direct to dvd movie, 1 tv show (the last live action tv show was 30 years ago no live action attempts after that), Super Friends (this and Lynda Carter don't come close to showing her full potential unlike Storm's), supporting character in JLU, cameo in JL:New Frontier (which is only direct to dvd)

WB doesn't even have enough faith to give her any solo project until now, and it's still nowhere close to how her comrades in the trinity have been able to get access to, when she can hold it down with her mythos material solo unlike Storm.

They've done a good job with JLU and the animated movie looks promising but it's going to take more then that to replace the public's perception of her being Lynda Carter or Super Friends.

Storm - 3 big budget live action movies (with a critically acclaimed actress no less!), 3 cartoon series

WW is more well known but Flash and GL are more popular. Guarantee you either of the two will outgross her in the BO. Glad to see GA made the top ten (Rightly so if you ask me :P). He deserves some on screen love that isn't "Supermax".

Wonder Woman needs to finally make it to the big screen as well. DC/Wb need to start seriously pushing the development of properties that aren't Superman and Batman and I say that even as a hardcore bat-fan.

I agree its WB's fault but since now they claim(I'll believe it when I see it)that they want to bring more DC characters to the big screen, they want the GA to care about her. Storm may not have been able to carry her own comic but Marvel was smart enough not to invest everything in Spidey and Hulk which is why you see Marvel character movies grossing almost $4B WW in the past decade.
