BvS If there is another villain such as Doomsday, will Snyder TRY to keep it secret?

I was hoping at least a hint of a threat that brings all the heroes together. It still hasn't happened. Do you think the intent is for the villain reveal to happen in the movie itself and never be brought forth to the fans before then?

I think they don't want to reveal any other villains yet due in part to the fact that there will be criticism of the choice. As it stands right now there already has

been criticism of the rumored decision to go with Doomsday at this point in the Superman trilogy (if this even is one) and it is mostly because of a lack of understanding the plot that the filmmakers ave set for the film. Eventually, though, they will have to disclose the villain, but not right now.

It's a pretty impressive task to keep a villain secret for that long and I don't think it's possible for Snyder to do so. Something will LEAK or be seen in a TV spot, poster, or something that gives it away. In this day and age, it's pretty hard/impossible.

Then again, if I remember correctly, Jurassic World did manage to keep the T-Rex hidden during it's entire promotional campaign.

Dat Callan Mulvey mystery doe...He's either so irrelevant a character he doesn't warrant being in a trailer, or he's the nemesis and they're saving him for the last trailer/closer to Christmas.

I'm really beginning to doubt it's Doomsday. Given the strong Anti-Superman sentiment in BvS, it would make more sense that its actually Bizarro.

And given the evidence, I think a strong case can be made for Bizarro (even if a Bizarro Zod) being the second villain.

Bizzaro is a bit more believable then Doomsday, who I feel likes design would probably be leaked already.

Plus, Doomsday doesn't have heat vision.

Well you could have a scenario where Doomsday is made from either the reanimated corpse of Zod or from his DNA in which case he could have all the classic Kryptonian powers. This is an adaptation, there are bound to be changes as the film makers see fit. Tony Stark didn't have an AI named J.A.R.V.I.S., Bucky wasn't Cap's child hood friend, Hawkeye wasn't a SHIELD agent.

Maybe they'll create a new villain for this film. I'm thinking of a combination between Doomsday and Bizarro.

It could be Bizarro at first and then he injects a concentrated charge of solar energy into himself (superman unchained) and 'hulks out' into doomsday.

As for Doomsday not having heat vision, well they don't need to stick to that at all, plus doomday breathed fire (dragon style) in superman#175 so liberties can be easily taken!

Snyder's all about keeping things on the DL. He wouldn't let us know for months if Lex was going to be bald or not, for God's sake.

So yes. Yes he will try and keep it a secret.

McNairy was seen in the trailer at the senate hearing and we know he's missing the bottom of his legs. Whether he has a role beyond that is unknown, but it at least seems like he's some guy who was injured in the climax of MOS.

Maybe McNairy is at the Senate meeting to testify about things they've lost, with his legs being a clear visual reminder of that.

I figure it's smarter to keep this under wraps since honestly, no villain could really match the hype of Batman and Superman being at odds for most of the film. Lex Luthor being a manipulator behind the scenes is about the biggest villainy requirement the advertisers need.

McNairy has to play a pretty big role though. Otherwise there would be no reason to keep his role under tabs or get an actor of his caliber.

Maybe we'd get an adaptation of New 52 Bizarro with him being a human injected with Kryptonian DNA?

I think it will be similar to the other monsters in Godzilla. They kept it under wraps, dropping little hints until the last trailer/tvspots

Snyder like secrecy so yes he will definitely try to keep the physical threat hidden for as long as possible.
