BvS If there is another villain such as Doomsday, will Snyder TRY to keep it secret?

Naw, he's talking about Superman. I think Doomsday will be in this though.

This has been posted before but I thought it was an excellent idea for an origin which would work within the MOS universe.

Personally I'd prefer if Doomsday wasn't created by Lex, or any other human. I always liked his Kryptonian backstory which gives him a direct emotional link to Superman, and also explains how his power levels are beyond anything known - humanity being able to create a beast like that would be a step too far IMO.

Doomsday looks incredibly threatening in this fan-art. If he is indeed in BvS, I hope he looks similar to this.

I'm actually dying to see a proper Brainiac as a league villain.

NO DOOMSDAY! save him for a Death of Superman/Man of Steel sequel.

Bizzaro makes the most sense and I hope they go with him.

It'd certainly explain why WB would be fine with not marketing the main villain. He's literally a carbon copy of one of your headliners. He probably won't even look like Bizarro until his last few minutes of screentime.

Certainly a workable Bizarro look, but we have had Superman fighting someone of his same abilities already with Zod. I'd prefer Metallo or Doomsday.

bizzaro chance is very thin.

doomsday... maybe.

Never really been a Bizarro fan, I imagine if they went down that route then we'd be getting a villain who symbolically represents the opposite of all Superman's positive characteristics - a bit like the evil Superman in Superman III.

That to me is a step too close to what we already got in MOS with Zod - a super powered Kryptonian who was Kal-El's opposite in many ways. Near identical powers, but one was a natural birth, the other genetically bred. One fighting for Earth, the other for Krypton. One merciless, the other merciful. One war-like, the other wanting peace. And so on.

Doomsday is too strong a force for a sequel; he has to be an endgame of sorts, and the 2-part Justice League film would serve that well. But as a brute force in itself, he could be tiresome, so I'd prefer if he was being manipulated somehow by another villain -someone powerful enough and intelligent enough to hold some control over him - maybe Brainiac? And once Brainiac is dealt with by the JL, there is no control at all over Doomsday and only his wild rage is left, making him even more dangerous.

Based on the technology that exists in this universe I hope for Metallo.

Another thread like this? Okay. You know there's another threat just read the synopsis for BvS.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Why does everyone assume the threat has to be Doomsday/Bizarro/Zodbie???
Why can't Lex be the threat? Lex with some sort of doomsday device. That scene of Gotham burning looks to be beyond the amount of damage they could cause.

I was hoping at least a hint of a threat that brings all the heroes together. It still hasn't happened. Do you think the intent is for the villain reveal to happen in the movie itself and never be brought forth to the fans before then?
i think it will show in the final trailer.

save???

if BvS didn't do well, you might not have any chance to do it!

just go all the way, i would say. don't hold any horses.

Yeah, Lex's scheming is often a worthy challenge for Superman, so why not the trinity?

I'm just curious who Wonder Woman is fighting at the end then. Superman?

That artwork is truly incredible. The artist also did a Nolanverse design for Damian Wayne. That Robin design works so perfectly for the aesthetic of that universe. I still think they dropped the ball in Rises by not doing a proper Dick Grayson story inspired by Dark Victory, Robin's Reckoning from BTAS and Robin Year One. I'm definitely glad we're getting a new Batman where Robin exists/existed in the very first appearance . In general it feels like this new Batman's history is coming at us at a much faster pace. We're getting Joker, Harley, Killer Croc, Deadshot (originally a Batman villain although he became more of a general DCU villain), and a dead Robin(?) in 2016 alone.

I really want Doomsday in this. I don't even care how mindless he is. Lex Luthor is clearly going to be the main villain of this movie. A mindless brute unleashed and engineered (through Zod's dna) by Luthor works for me. I've grown very fond of the idea that the trinity would face off against Doomsday in the third act. With a surprise appearance from Aquaman!

Doomsday and Bizarro are such throwaway characters that I hope they combine them into one amalgamated character and throw it in the last act as something for superman to fight.

Brainiac is very likely to be a major villain in the future either for a superman solo or JL, if we are to believe Snyder.

Never saw that Nolanverse art before, very inspired. Would have been an interesting route to go down if they'd continued with Nolan's films in some medium or other.

I do agree completely with what you've said, however on the plus side I think it would be somewhat cool if indeed Doomsday was the mystery threat in this movie with him coming about as a direct result of Lex's experiments on Zod's body & DNA trying to discover ways in which he could kill Superman or improve upon him thus eventually explaining the near endless evolving aspect of the Doomsday character.

However with that angle some incarnation of a Bizzaro Superman would make equally as much sense if not moreso.

I guess Metallo still makes more sense for a Superman standalone, and Doomsday would work for a teamup film.

If Snyder does manage to keep the 2nd villain's identity before the film is released, he deserves to be in charge of your president's security team.

I have to say that Wagner's trinity was fantastic and quite cinematic also.
