If Time Travel Was to Ever be Discovered...

A time machine must also be a space ship....because it must travel both in time and relative space. If you built a machine that could send you to where you were exactly one day ago in time...the earth would be in a different place in space because of it's movement around the sun as well as the fact that our solar system and galaxy is moving through the universe in general.

There are theories that UFOs are time travellers...since they are in ships that reportedly just seem to disappear sometimes instead of fly off.

The galaxy/universe is ever expanding. Universe that are far away from us drift farther and farther. Technicially the effects the big bang are still happening and the universe is constantly expanding outward.

It would be pretty easy to prove you were a time-traveler...being that you know everything thats gonna happen, where, and how.

Our solar system as well as the rest of the galaxy and universe are in constant motion. We are on Earth, which is travelling around our sun. But our sun isn't just sitting still in the universe. Our entire galaxy is moving as a whole in one general direction....while all of the bits and pieces in it are also traveling in orbit around their individual stars or planets.

That doesn't help, I did that and now all I can think about is how dogs don't live long enough and according to the bible animals have no soul so even if there was a god my dog wouldn't be in heaven like the movie says it would be. And if there isn't a god is there a spiritual plane where we all travel to when we die or are we really just specs of dust waiting to happen. And if there are aliens why haven't they come and speak of what they know, and if there are time travelers then what do they know...........or is the world really going to end in 2012 like the prophecy says and maybe that's why there hasn't been time travel invented because there isn't any future

If the time traveller had a computer with all of the world's history recorded on it....and by travelling through time he has now set into effect a change of events that alter the timeline and those recorded events no longer occur as they previously did....would he really then know everything about the future?

You assume his time travel would have a universal ripple effect...what if it doesn't? Why would a man traveling through time prevent a natural disaster from happening, or a corporation that doesnt exist yet rising to become a billion dollar industrial power? There are hundreds of things a time traveler would know that could prove his claims, and very few things he could do to radically change the course of history as we (he) knows it enough that none of them would take place.

If there were no ripple effect....then that would mean that what is fated to happen will happen....so he can't change who is to win the world series, because the winner of it is always fated to win it. IF...as you said above, he is able to change an event...then time is not set but fluid, so it ripples and changes other events.
