is there a way to ignore the posts of another member so I cant see them

Yes. Just go to your user cp and you'll see a link to edit your ignore list, just type in the name and click save changes

Great example ^ now we know what to do from here.

Thread title make it good enough to be resurfaced for this purpose

A discussion ran about blocking, and an idea popped to one of the members
What if someone on ignore is quoted? A lot?

Doesnt the ignore feature function for that too? I dunno I hardly ever put anybody on ignore - if i dont want to read posts, I just dont read em. Sure beats all these posts I see from other people complaining about other members.

Nope, it doesn't if the one quoting the ignored one is not on ignore
I put that to test once

Yeah they really need to fix that. It sucks seeing people you are ignoring popping up through multiple quotes.
Is there a way to make the blocked member still in block? Posts are hidden even when quoted by another member?

That's the problem I have with the "Ignore" feature on the hype. Even though you have said member on your ignore list, when someone quotes that person, you are still able to see the ignorant posts of the person you want to block from seeing. What is the point in blocking someone when it really does no good?

That's the way it is on every forum, it's standard forum software.

From what I understand there's no way to hide it when the person on ignore is quoted :(

yeah, that can't be blocked when quoted

You might as well just learn to have thicker skin in the long run. Ignoring people is childish anyway imo.

It makes certain threads cleaner and easier to read, when not cluttered up by someone you find tedious.
