People you have put on ignore thread :-)

If you want to ignore someone.....when you come to a post they make....don't read it, move to the next post, and read that one.....you have now successfully ignored someone.

Of the dozen or so names I have had on ignore (past and present), only two remain unbanned as of this time. One I removed and so far has not irritated me enough to re-ignore and the other who is still ignored is infrequent and probably has enough infractions to get a perma-ban sooner or later.

Unless someone does this, then you have unsuccessfully moved past their ignored post. But it is not hard to just move past that post too, even though it is tempting to see what was said.

I been on the site for many years, it wasn't until recently I had to use the ignore feature. There about 13 posters that just annoy me to no end and if I see their posts saying something stupid, I might say something that might get myself banned.

Very interesting. Thank you for bumping this thread to share.

My point was.....if you have a modicum of self control....you don't need mechanical means to "ignore" someone....you can simply choose to not respond to them. There are many poster on here I "ignore" on a daily basis (as in I choose to not respond to a post they make)....I still read their posts (I have to know if they have posted something that is against the rules on here) but I don't have to have a conversation with them or start/continue an argument....I simply "ignore" them.

No wonder you never respond to my awesome idea of a western movie with pegasi instead of horses ("Skyboys and Indians"). You'll be sorry when we get Chris Nolan attached to this one.

I have over 60 people on my ignore list for a variety of reasons. Most are due to them being negative, whiny babies; repeat trolls; overly aggressive bullies; hit-and-run posters that only post to be contrarian or get a rise out of people; and those that have no tolerance for other viewpoints (mainly political ones.)

That decribes all thirteen posters I have on my ignore list. It's shocking none of them have gotten banned yet.

I've taken some off after seeing they modified their tone/posting style but then there are many on my list that check 2 or more of my criteria so they're not getting off anytime soon. My list would easily be well over 100 if I'd kept all those that I put on ignore who ultimately got perma-banned.

Some People have no self control even when they claim to have you on their ignore list. Someone from the BvS board put me on ignore, and a few days later is responding to posts I made. When I mentioned that they supposedly put me on ignore, they made some lame joke.

I also remember someone on a DCCU forum mentioning constantly, "I'm gonna put AntMan 41 on ignore", or whatever his name was. Then I see the same poster in the Batman Comics thread basically baiting Antman into getting into another argument with them.

That's the thing, some users do stuff to goat other posters into arugements. One female poster I liked ALOT got banned because of a popular poster ( who is still here) making offensive comments towards her, which prompted an arugement. Unfortunately, she got insta banned and the poster that started the arugement only got an infraction. That's why I am thankful for the ignore function.

Haha sound's like someone I know from the BVS boards. Said he put me on ignore and then in other threads' responds to my post's .When I called him up on it he ignores it. :funny:

To this day, I have never put anyone on my ignore list, although I probably could/should have many times.

I think I put one user on ignore like last year but then he was banned. I don't have anyone on ignore Now though. Sometimes its truly entertaining to see trolls and what not post. Some of the posts are hilarious. Actually there's one membet who puts anyone who disagrees with him on ignore. Its funny lol

Got a handful of members on my ignore list. Pretty much just those who for example hate Metal Gear Solid but go to the Metal Gear Solid thread every day for hours at a time saying repeatedly how they hate MGS and hope the next game is bad.

Having that opinion is fine but to be a squatter in that the thread day in day out repeating it ad nauseum is not only pointless but ruins the atmosphere.

The majority of people I've blocked are those that do the same in the Marvel MCU forums. I especially go after those who have histories showing they spend a majority of their time in the DC/WB sections only to hit-and-run the MCU movie once it comes out.

Yeah. If I'm not happy with or not interested in a movie or game or TV show or topic I'll just leave that section or thread to those who are to discuss it and have fun. If I have a strong opinion I'll post it and move on or if it comes up elsewhere and is in discussion I'll comment but to go into the section/thread of something you hate to constantly moan about it well that's just needless trolling imo and a waste of ones time.
