Some of Maddox's articles are actual comedy genius.
Sure, it's nothing that hasn't really been done before. But it's the way he says things, it's the way he writes. It really is very clever social commentary and satire. Darthphere is offended that Maddox would make fun of cripples. I'm assuming Darthphere is referring to Maddox's "Christopher Reeve is an *******" article. Now this is the clever thing about Maddox. Most peoples' first reaction would be to be offended. But Maddox makes a great point. Just because a person is dead, just because they were disabled, that means you can't call them an *******?!? Maddox has a great way of detecting bull****, and pointing it out.
His hatemail is hilarious. His fans freak me out. So many people misunderstand him. He's taken too seriously. The thing to remember about Maddox is, everything in his articles is an exaggeration, but with a hint of truth in there. Maddox 90% of the time has a message he wants to get out. Read the guy's hatemail, it really is very rediculous. The stupidity of some people. "I used to like you, then you made fun of my favourite band U2!!" "how dar u mak fun of chris reeve he is da hero of da disabled".
If you've read more than a couple of Maddox articles and still don't find him funny, then it's just not for you. If it is for you, then it will be some of the funniest **** you've ever read. But please, if you are one of these people that are all like "Maddox hurts peoples feelings!!!", just grow up. Maddox has caught onto the fact that people in our society today are way too sensitive. His comedy points out the bull****. Why be so sensitive about it?? It's not like you knew Christopher Reeve personally. Isn't it reverse discrimination to tell someone they can't call a disabled guy an *******?
That's the thing. It's not for everyone. But for the people that get it, it's comedy gold. It really is.
