In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

The promo for this actually looked good until I saw Ray Liota was in it. Now I know it will be awful. :(

Really? I think Ray Liotta is a pretty damn good actor at certain times. I think Narc, and especially Goodfellas proves that.

He makes a great gangster, but everything else I've seen him in other than a ganster film, he's been horrible. :( He didn't look good for this in the promor at all, at least, not for me.

And he's been in a lot of terrible movies lately, so that's a bad sign.:csad:

He is terribly miscast in this movie. And why the hell is he wearing a leather jacket in medieval times?

Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds, and Matthew Lillard in a medieval/fantasy movie. Dear God.

Finally, someone has stepped up to the task and possibly made a fantasy film that is worse than "Dungeons and Dragons." Bravo.

Hasn't this film been finished for a long time, mainly because they couldn't find any distributor for it?

Yup, it was originally due out for release A YEAR AGO. No one wanted to distribute Uwe Boll after BloodRayne. Which actually lost a ton of money for the distributor (which I believe was associated with Billy Zane who was in the movie). They over-produced more prints than what was ordered. Exhibitors didn't want to touch the ****ing movie.

I'm surprised Boll was able to find some podunk distributor for this film theatrically, and even moreso was able to get a TV ad campaign.

Even more hilarious that Iron Fist thinks it looks good. Dungeon Siege and DBZ will probably be his favoritest movies of 2008.

How the hell did Uwe Boll get all those actors in this movie?
maybe these guys were desperate for a paycheck? Drunk or high or both when they were approached for this role?
The movie looks very very bad,I like Stathem, but he does'nt fit into this midevil type scenerio, neither does reynolds or liota...This should be a laugher of a movie.
I might, might rent it when it comes to DVD a few weeks after its debut in the theatres :)

I remember seeing this trailer a while back. It was before the film had a distributor. I was instantly turned away once I figured out it was a Uwe Boll film, and saw Ray Liotta's "Haha, I am a bad guy!" laugh.

wow... this looks like a scifi channel original picture... in a bad way.

i do still want to see 'postal' though. i heard it was actually pretty good.

If any of you see this, be sure to PM me your address so I can personally come to your house and kick you in the nuts.

I really enjoy seeing his bad movies. I really hope the sci fi channel picks it up quick. I really can't wait to watch it.

the movie is coming out next week....been seeing a lot of commercials lately.

I'm so ****ing jazzed for this movie. Uwe Boll makes hilarious films. House of the Dead is great entertainment, and Postal is flat out awesome. I love how people get all up tight about House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark being bad.. I'm wondering what people were expecting from arcade games in which you shoot zombies. As far as I'm concerned he pulls off comedy masterworks!

This movie should be just like that moment in LOTR The Two Towers where the massive army is about to descend on Helms Deep and you can just tell they are outnumbered and about to die, and it's huge and powerful and devastating and Gimli says something like "I can't see whats happening!" and everyone in the theater groaned. This whole movie will be like that moment, except funny, because there wont be any grand epic powerful moment to ruin. It will just all be laughs and groans.

I really don't think this movie looks "all" that bad

Well...I have to say this at least...it looks better than most of his other movies.....

Wow, so you have to use my opinion to get your point across? :whatever: Honestly, so what if I think it looks good? I may not like it but i'm a fan of Statham's work, so that's why i'm seeing it. Get over the fact that I think the DB movie has potential and move on already. No need to b**ch everytime someone likes something that doesn't suit your own likings.

As a fellow Danny Rand fan, Iron Fist, I am ashamed of your wanting to see this movie.

As a Jason Statham fan you should be ashamed for him.

Why would I? I thought he was fine in "War" and i'll reserve judgement when I see this movie. I've enjoyed mostly all of Statham's movies.

I can't believe that talented cutie Leelee Sobieski is in an Ewe Boll flick.

After she played Joan of Arc, I always thought Leelee would be good in an epic fantasy film of some kind, but not this. NOT THIS! :cmad:
