Indian woman accused of being a witch beaten to death by mob

Well, she wasn't beaten to death, but seriously injured. I read the story wrong.

Something similar happened a couple of weeks ago, a gang of fourteen year old's kicked this 20 year old girl to death, their excuse was that they thought she was a witch because she dressed like a goth. :o

Now if a girl's name is Martha Goodwife, then yeah, she is a witch.

Yikes...but did she die? I thought the article said that she will be testifying? Did I misread?

If she didn't die, and she is a witch, those people who beat her better run for cover or she really will go all black magic on their butts.

Edit: Ok, I didn't misread :D

Did they at least tie her up and dunk her in a pool of water to see if she would float or not, first? Or see if she would burn? People don't even do due diligence anymore. :down

jag

damn. hope the girl lived through it.

litte do you know, the thing happened in a small town called ''burketsville''
:eek::up:

Forget this woman, read the paragraphs at the end of the article:

In Bhagalpur district in August 2007, a man caught trying to snatch a woman's chain was beaten up, with police looking on, and later tied to a motorcycle and dragged around by a police officer.

In September, in Lucknow's Wazirganj area, an angry mob beat a man to death after a 2½-year old girl was allegedly found sexually assaulted and murdered in his house.

you can't kill witches. who would do deliveries then.

Well she shouldn't have been a witch or none of this would have happened.

These were not Christians who did this. So why this picture? Curious.

Established by Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile to maintain Catholic orthodoxy.

Following the Crusades and the Reconquest of Spain by the Christian Spaniards the leaders of Spain needed a way to unify the country into a strong nation. Ferdinand and Isabella chose Catholicism to unite Spain and in 1478 asked permission of the pope to begin the Spanish Inquisition to purify the people of Spain. They began by driving out Jews, Protestants and other non-believers.

Curious indeed.
