They said Black Panther is very important to Infinity War, which is part of the reason it was moved up. I assume he'll be in it.

Make that 15 characters added Ant Man and Wasp(Michael Douglas kinda brings them with him a vice versa, it's the package). As well as Black Panther.

Because maybe they wrote a role for her in the script first before finding someone to act? Thats usually what happens in making movies.

Well yeah but even so they should have Carol in the first film more or less as a background character more or less in a cameo like mid credits or post-credits building up to her solo origin film and then Part 2 you can build her up more that way

I'm not sue what you mean. Why would not having an actress yet pose a problem when writing the screenplay? Like psylockolossus just said, that's generally how screenplays are written (even if you're writing with a specific actor in mind there's no guarantee you'll get them.)

True. They do that with alot of movies. They write the script first and give an actor lines to say then whichever actor peforms the best is usually cast in the role.

The title is "Confirmed" characters, as in those who've been said to come back by people in charge.

Tom Holland signed a three picture deal, which doesn't include Civil War, from what I read. Unless that just's for the new trilogy, I think that encompasses Homecoming and Infinity War Part I and II. I've been saying this all along. He will be a major character, if not one of the most central characters, in IW. I expect a post credits scene in Homecoming having him become an Avenger to set up IW. In 14 months, we'll know for sure. That's just one of the reasons why I'm excited for Homecoming!

Eh, let's not jump the shark. Spidey is popular, but if Marvel let's their gaurd down while Sony still owns the rights and starts focusing on Spidey as the new MCU face then Sony will basically on the MCU as their character will become its face.

And Infinity War is an Avengers movie first and foremost so lets not forget that. Unless they change the title to just Infinity War.

I respectfully disagree. I think Sony would be encouraged to have Spider-Man in the Infinity War because it would help build hype for the second Spider-Man solo film. I really think Spider-Man being in Civil War will build a lot of hype for Homecoming. I trust Marvel will make a very good movie and it should probably end up being possibly the highest grossing Spider-Man movie to date.
