This thread is for what tool or techniques you use when Inking or Coloring Or Sketching you work so discuss

righto. I use the airbrush tool in photoshop, for well, just about everything. Airbrush and a wacom tablet.

Prismacolor is what I switched to last year and there pretty good. For Color.

Inking I use sharpies but I might find something else because when i color sometimes the sharpie starts to smear any suggestions?

Micron pens work rather well for thin lines. but i'm not the one to go to for non digital inking. i hates it.

I'm buying a laptop for inking on, I was just wondering what you guys recomend?
A lot of people have told me to get a Mac, but... so much more money for something that I just want to draw on?

ive been told if you're into graphics that macs are the best out there.

Macs are prettier looking, but as far as performance, it's mostly a difference in what software is available.

Please don't use sharpies anymore Syncos... they fade and discolor like a mother!

I'm trying to get used to nib pens with higgins or acyrlic ink. It works well on bristol board, but take a while to get used to.

I sucks hard at using photoshop brushes :( Does anyone know how to get the flat tipped brushes in Photoshop CS3? I mean the ones that fade to point, not the caligraphy ones. I know I've seen them before...

India Ink with Nib Pens are by far the best I've ever worked on. Its absolutely beautiful to use. THe only issue, is that occasionally, I'll get a blob of ink out of the pen and nearly ruin the drawing. If you work fast enough, you can soak it off like watercolors and you can play with the tones on the computer after.
