Interview with Roth; Blonsky's British

The first comic I read with Abomination in it never mentioned his real name, where he came from etc, so I never imagined his voice as having any accent at the time. With that first impression staying with me even after finding out his origins I cant say I'm too bothered he doesnt have a russian accent.

I am curious as to why he would have a British one if he is part of an American special army force though (it's not like Roth hasn't done American accents before).

I don't know, I just saw Roth in a HBO mini-series called Tsunami: Aftermath he had a british accent, but it was so light it might as well have been an american one.

Brixton was pretty rough back in the day. I'm sure he could of pulled of an eastern eurpean accent if he wanted too. It sounded like because he didn't have an voice coach he was comfortable enough to do one so he didn't bother.

I think he was just joking about Blonsky not have a russian accent...

That's the feeling I got. Even if he's not, I'm sure he'll do the character justice.

We also asked whether he had to take on a Russian accent to play Blonsky. "No," Roth responded. "Do you know why? They wouldn't pay for a dialect coach," he said with a laugh. "So now it's London."

I think he was just joking about Blonsky not have a russian accent...

That's the feeling I got.

I'm sorry, but why do you guys think he was joking? Does he not plainly state, "So now it's London," hence a British accent?

Wow, so another hit for the fans that said this film would be more accurate than ang's intepretation...

ouch...

My only hope on that front is that this movie is twice as good as Ang's folly. "More accurate"...eh...I don't even know what that means.

...Wait...make that 10X better....only twice as good would probably still suck.
