I agree it is a little shocking but it just shows his versatility, just like he does with his film roles. Ioan has done a lot of modeling for fashion magazines so he's use to some of the insane outfits they put him in sometimes. It's fun, good exposure and he likes to try different things. I'm sure the big bucks they pay out for these magazine spreads doesn't hurt either. So I wouldn't say it doesn't get him anything else! He has enough confidence in himself and doesn't worry that a spread like this will mark him as "Neverland" material! I think it's great that he has the guts to pull a "180" and try something like this! He's done similar stuff in the past and it certainly hasn't hurt his career. It just results in more magazine spreads, from what his track record has shown so far. But I'll still take the curls and no jewelry look any day!

Oh yes. But then, some chicks dig it when guys look like them instead of, well, like men! I am SO not in that group.

That said, it's a fun photo shoot if for no reason than to see the responses people gave. Half the fangirls ran away screaming, and half swooned dead away from lust. Whatever. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Allow me to bump this thread back to the top where it belongs, with a little bit of Freddy Bywater, one of my favorite Ioan roles. On the surface, he might not be my first choice to play a love-ravaged Cockney sociopath, but dang! he does it splendidly.
