Just saw the movie.

Adorkable is my new favorite word. Ioan was just indecently adorkable. So adorkable that I nearly broke out in hives.

well i just came back from watching the movie and i say, blast those reviewers who diss ioan! i gave them the benefit of the doubt, and now i felt bad doubting ioan. i think the reviewers found the character bland, and blamed ioan for it. he was true to the character and played it really well. i wish he had more showy scenes or more highlighting dialogue but he was brilliant in carrying out the stuff given to him.

and he was damn hot!!!

LOL, this is great!

I am so close to just swimming across the atlantic. Though I have to work out if Id get there before July 22nd, or else its just a waste of time..

Reed is a reticent, cerebral, person who finds his courage when he's forced to embrace what he's become after the accident. It's his piece of the team-puzzle to be the quiet, understated one. It's the kind of character that could easily be underappreciated in this kind of movie, but as always, Ioan rewards your attentions. He's hugely charming and the performance is lovely. I didn't find Reed bland at all. Nor did I find Evans or Chilklis to be scene stealers. They were better and more disciplined than that -- the team had a balance to their interplay that was really wonderful to watch.

excatly Mrs. fantastic! only Chiklis and Chris were HELLA funny! :p but Ioan TOTALLY stood out to me when it came to acting (I dunno why) but did it seem to anyone else that they movie had ALOT of Reed scenes? I found myself turning to Sue-twin a # of times in the theater whenever Reed came on because it was always interesting with him.:)

Ioan did an excellent job as Mr.Fantastic and is definitely the perfect choice for the role. And as for Mr.Fantastic in the movie,he was awesome and was really cool in all the fights,Mr.Fantastic has always been my favorite member of the FF and I wished he had done a little more in this movie. It seemed that as far as the action goes the Thing and the Human Torch(don't get me wrong they were awesome)but they seemed to have all the cool fights and stole the show as far as the fighting went.I would have loved Invisible Woman and Mr.Fantastic have used there powers as cool as they did in the comics. But I still loved this movie and loved Mr.Fantastic.

I was sooo thrilled to see so much of "My Ioan" in the movie! He was just gorgeous and played his part perfectly. So many great closeups of him. I thought they made him look older once he got in the spandex. Hopefully we will get to see more of his powers in the next movie. Didn't think there was much chemistry with Jessica, but she didn't seem to have it with anyone.

Lamentabily, judging from the ever revolting IMDB, his character is already being underapreciated-so it´s great to have the opinion of true conoisseurs. Puxa!!!(where´s the Asturian flag when one needs it)

Ioan Gruffud as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic is prefect ,He captures The in depth character of Reed, (the Scientist side of Reed,) (The Dorky side of Reed,) (The heroic side of Reed) The chemistry between Jessica & him is sweet (just like in the mythlogy). He's Reed Richards.

As a fan both of the comic and of the lovely Ioan Gruffudd, you cannot imagine how I feel reading that. Thank you, kal El 8.

Your Welcome,by the way Cool pic.

I couldn't believe how Ioan was just about in every scene! It went way past my expectations on just how much! I knew in the comics (from what you guys all talked about) just how much Reed was an intrical part of the foursome, but somehow didn't think they'd devote that much screen time to his character to illustrate that point! Thank you screenwriters!

Ioan is an amazing actor and why he has had me as a fan from the getgo! He tackles any role handed to him and becomes that character. I think part of his amazing talent lies in his facial expressions. He isn't plastic or one dimensional in his interpretation.

Ioan was perfect as Reed/Mr. F and fit the role to a "T"! Like one of our members of ioanonline mentioned.....that they forgot it was Ioan after the first five minutes and viewed the rest of the film like they were actually watching Reed! I think that says it all. There isn't a higher compliment you can pay an actor than that....making the character come to life!

But why am I surprised.....he comes through like that in all of his performances. That's why we're all so hooked!!!! Being damned good looking doesn't hurt either!!! ;) Way to go Ioan!!!

I'll go that one better: I actually forgot that wasn't his real accent.

Ioan's accent really was impressive. Especially if you've seen the trailer for Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom playing an American.

Now, I love Orlando. He's adorable, and I'll plunk down $9 to watch him in a movie any day. But in the trailer he sounds just like a Brit trying very hard to do an American accent. And nooot quite succeeding. ;)

Chris Evans should have played Bloom's role:p . I know he auditioned for it.

He did a brilliant job with it didn't he!!! It'd be hard enough to try to cope with the acting side of things, let alone concentrate on your accent at the same time!! Especially considering he has such a strong Welsh accent as well.

Well done Ioan!!!

When Ioan pulls off an american accent like that one in the movie and makes me forget he was Welsh at all, that's great acting!

I remember hearing him interviewed shortly after Hornblower debuted here in the States. I didn't know anything about him, but I very quickly came to the conclusion (accurately) that he didn't speak English as a native language. Just a mere few years ago, there he was, mixing up his subject-verb agreement and his prepositions...and now, Lycra-clad, he's prancing about in Lycra on the big screen, spewing American at us. How fast they grow up. <sniff sniff> :D

Mrs. F.

As Ioan Fan says, Ioan was in almost every scene, yet on Fox News tonight in a report about the big box office, they showed scenes of everyone but HIM!! What is wrong with these people?? Here he is, getting top billing but still being ignored. Why oh why don't these people see what we see??
