Irish sports star involved in dogfighting ring

actually i care more about the Irish story. Irish guys are sexy

Of course he should, stop trying to make this a race thing. :whatever:

Well that's fine, but Jplaya always goes down this road... It gets old, in all forms.

Race driven issues are prevelant in this country and the world. As ridiculous as his threads may seem, I have yet to anyone who participates in his threads genuinely discuss the issue at hand. Most threads raise a good point ( Is Stern racist and alienating his fans with the dress code made to plaster the Brawl or why are women so committed)

To be fair, everyone has been making it a race thing. Its part of the media circus

dawg, please show me in the post where i made it a "Race" thing. I asked dude a simple question and this cat comes in here trying to play the race card.

What a disgrace

A few people have, just because he or you don't like the answer doesn't make it less valid.

Americans don't care what some Gaelic Football player did, not because the act is any less disgusting, but it didn't happen in America. Yes, we as a country are beat over the head with media sensationalism (as the Vick case clearly shows). Though, I think it's a little silly to get all worked up about something you already know the answer too. I mean what exactly is the point. Yes, America has a "Me First" or "We are the One and Only" mentality. Nothing new there. And, this guy in Ireland is just as bad as Vick and should be punished according to the laws set forth in Ireland. Shocking, I know. It ain't going to grace the covers of anything on this side of the pond, because nobody cares about this guy (white or black).

So, please explain to me why this needs to be a race issue. Do you think Vick got treated unfairly, because of his color or status? If it was Peyton Manning would have it been any less of story? No, it would have not been.
Did Vick get made an example of? Probably, but so would any high profile person accused of the same things.

So, the only point of this thread was to point out a obvious answer or stir up ****?

I'm coupling this thread with your previous Vick posts, don't be coy.

Ok, then please enlighten us with the point of this thread...

just reporting the news.

is that a crime?
Not according to you...

the michael vick story was news across all countries.

why is this different?
Not one half of the first page in and you tried to tie the story immediately to Michael Vick by saying "If ESPN covers Vick, why not him?"

Or Jplaya will throw a hissy fit

what is the crime?

No one forces you to post in this thread. You did so in your accord.

Please refrain from responding to me or posting in my threads.

Thanks :yay:

The crime, is you trying to be coy about your intentions. Then when called on the BS, you want to take your ball and go home.

Just reporting the news my Ass.

So in closing, no.

Your Welcome. :cwink:

Nah I aint saying you made a race issue, I was just commenting on the fact that has been made into one.
With regards to the other topics you have mentioned 'sicm, but I think that's a good thing.

Race in sports and in America is an issue that should be discussed instead of ignored just cause some of y'all got a problem with J Playa

So dog fighting. I haven't seen the documentary in question but read about it in the paper.

Dog fighting is a disgusting "sport" and pretty much any decent person is in agreement that its not right and needs to stop. Only complete scum could enjoy an event based around dogs tearing each other apart. Its a very thuggish event. Even if you don't give a **** about animal cruelity, there is still the issue of the fact that these dogs that are bred for fighting are dangerous.

Wasn't it just earlier this year there was a string of incidents, and in one case a child died because of a banned dog?
