since where gonna see hulk in THE AVENGERS before HULK2 i have a good feeling hes gonna be the antagnoist and tony will have to build the HULKBUSTER armor. maybe halfway through they will get hulk under control and turn to the real badguy, at least thats what i hope happens

I would imagine War Machine for sure, as for any new versions of the Iron Man armor, maybe a newer version of the mk 3, I doubt they will delve to deep into environment specific armors ie: Hydro-Armor, Stealth Armor or Inferno Armor.

In other words, the Mark IV. I don't know if they'd need to go all out with the space armor but I'd like some action to occur in space. I know Fav said on the special features for IM1 that they originally were going to have the Iron Man & Iron Monger aerial chase end in space. But it just didn't work out. Still, that tells you something of where Fav's mind is at.

Like Batman every movie has a new suit... so Should Iron Man's armour be updated for the next one? I mean they pretty much got the look correct where would you go next? Or would this lead to the many different types? Hulk-Buster? War-Machine?

The Mark III should definitely be the main suit of the sequel, but maybe give it some updates like a stealth feature or maybe even have Stark utilize the Silver Centurion armor for the final fight or something of that nature:

I'd be willing to bet that there are some small modifications done to the suit. But it was practically perfect in the first film, so don't fix what ain't broken.

I'm sure there has to be some form of Space Armour included for when it would be needed throughout either IM2 or The Avengers.

new suits would be cool and all, but more so obvious. I would like to see more capabilities of what his new suits can do now. Also, Id like to totally see Stark's iron man suit room or whatever its called. Instead of just seeing the mark IV that he would probably be wearing most of the time, we would be getting view of a bunch of the other suits. It would be pretty impressive to see if production can make that room with varied suits.

My favorite design has always been the Sean Chen/Heroes Return armor.

He's now wearing that armor again in Invincible Iron Man.

I'm for anything but the squinty-eyed Ultimate Marvel armor. It makes Iron Man look like a dang cricket.

well we can all agree here that the ultimate ironman armor was poorly executed. also i hope that IM2 takes place a few years (5 or 6) after the first and it doesn't take place right after

I'm betting it'll be set not too terribly long after the first, considering how it ended.

A cameo by the ultimate armor could be fun. Just the original, nothing fancy or more than that.

I wouldn't mind seeing all these armor designs in one form or another in a special workshop or storage space. As far as actual use I wouldn't mind the stealth suit being used on a mission or something like that, maybe in the opening segment of the movie. I still want him to use the mark 3 primarily with added features though and of course War Machine.
