World Is Beast (Hank) an ape mutant or feline mutant

Originally he was ape-like, even after he took his serum and turned all blue and furry. Then, for some reason, his "secondary evolution" kicked in and turned him a bit more feline. So, right now he's sort of a hybrid, but if his mutation continues he'll probably end up more feline.

Personally, I absolutely HATE the feline look. I always liked original Beast from the '60s

Beast's mutation seems to involve atavus devolution. His original mutant abilities placed him on par with the neanderthal ancestors of modern man. His first mutagenic enhancement dropped him further back on the evolutionary scale to the simians. His most recent regression places him before the apes' time, when the great cats like the sabretoothed tiger were the strongest species.

I agree the old apelike Beast is much better than the dreadful newly evolved feline...looks un-beast like...oh yes now I recall reading a Essential X-men mag when Beast tries to help a cat mutant hiding in a barn, he explains that his mutations have turned more feline.
