They are based on a Marvel comic and even had a Stan Lee appearance. Doesn't this increase Marvel's box office total?
I didn't know that.Yeah it's an animated film loosely based on an obscure Marvel property, I've heard Marvel even went out of their way to distance themselves from the property.
What do you guys think about an expanded animated universe? An obscure team like the power pack or underused team like the Runaways? Howard the duck would probably work better as an animated character than he would in live action. Can't think of any other characters right now, but I'm sure there's a wealth of obscure characters and teams that could be re-purposed into there own animated features.

From what I've heard, Marvel and Disney began discussing how they were going to adapt the movie, and they both had very different ideas about how to approach it. Marvel said they want their movies made this way, but Disney said their movies are made another. So they basically split ways and Marvel did all they could to distance themselves from the movie, which included not publishing a comic book tie in. Believe it or not Disney hired an outside company to do that for them, since Marvel was either uncooperative or uninterested. If Marvel and Disney had seen eye-to-eye there'd be a chance that Big hero 6 could have taken place in the MCU.I didn't know that.
practically guaranteedDisney infinity maybe ?
