^^ I actually had an idea for a fantastic four storyline where they travel back into the asteroid belt to discover the origin of their mutations, to get a better understanding of the radiation that affected them, anyway, they find a device that emits the radiation, that turn out to be a portal into the negative zone, and it sucks them into it. the device was left there by the kree, as there is another and the two act as sort of a bridge between the sides of the galaxy, so the FF go throught he negative zone, encounter annihlus (sp?) but escape through he other end of the portal, but wind up up on kree in the midst of a kree/skrull war. they explain the presence of the portal device in the asteroid belt as being there since before human civilization, being utilized by the kree to experiment on the earliest humans, leaving the inhumans as a possible sequel storyline. so yeah, i thought it was a pretty cool idea, the other portal device would be inside ego the living planet, having been devoured by him, so they'd have to escape him, find the kree planet, get swept up in the war, but defeat the skrull army by luring them to ego to be sucked into the n zone by activating the portal device, leaving them at annihlus' mercy. it was gonng be called Fantastic Four: Odyssey.

Damn, I'm the only one so far that has chosen Adam Warlock. He's the first hero I associate with cosmic powers; and he has had a long time rivarly with Thanos.

How about Machine Man? Good story, lot's of potential, and different from your standard comic book movie.

It would absolutely have to be Mar Vell. He is Marvel's first intergalactic hero and has a great origin. Respect the Marvel U history, kids.

Exactly; the Nova love is just because he's a hot character now. It doesn't make him necessarily the best choice.

Its not just because Nova is hot right now. Nova appeals to most of the target audience. It is easy to relate to him and the audience learn the cosmic universe at the same time he does.

Frankie's Blind devotion to the FF aside, Marvel's Cosmic line should start with the FF. But Marvel doesn't have the rights, so, I think the next best thing to go with is Captain Marvel.

Now, I love Nova, but his story is waaaay too close to GL. I mean, he is a GL rip. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Lots of great characters are ripoffs, but it's too soon to yank out a Nova movie. Cap'n Marv on the other hand, would be a good start. Alien spy sent to Earth to infiltrate as a Super Hero, discovers the corruption of his superior and how awesome the humans can be. I mean, it works. Hopefully they can get it done before DC ever gets around to their Captain Marvel.

Yea Captain Marvel is unique enough and awesome enough.

I personally think Richard Rider is a much better character than Hal Jordan. But yea, GL will be out first and it'd look like Nova is just a rip off.

I think both Capatain Marvell and the Guardians of the Galaxy should be in Marvel's first cosmic film. It also should have some spectacular space battles and space action heroics. And feature spectacular alien planets moons and beautiful views of deep space like in the Star Wars saga. And beautifully designed starships and have one named Captain America or Captain America II like in the comics. It would make an awesome franchise and have numerous sequels!

Because Nova IS a rip off.

None of the above, it should be Ikaris of the Eternals!

You can't get anymore cosmic than Kirbys Eternals!

Captain Marvel.

If they go with the Guardians of the Galaxy though, they should set up Korvac in the movie, and then have a huge crossover event with the Avengers where both team up, battle (and are killed by?) Korvac, as in "The Hope and the Slaughter" at the end of the Korvac Saga.

Mar-vell. He makes for a good warrior theme. Drax the Destroyer could be included along with Mentor and Eros to take on Thanos. (Just do away with the whole Rick Jones thing.) Shoot, throw in Nova, too.

I'm not up to speed on my Nova knowledge. I remember him initially from his intro back in the 70's. How is he like GL? Is he a space cop, too, now?

Why not both? Why can't we introduce the Cosmic universe with a team-up?

Mar-Vell's story is large in scope, impending invasion, warring worlds, love story. I don't know I think Marvels first foray into a cosmic hero deserves more than a team-up
