Where's Bruce Wayne? Is he dead? And is the Superman/Batman - Batman still Bruce Wayne?

Bruce Wayne was shot back to prehistoric times by Darkseid's godweapon, but everyone thinks he's dead...except Tim.

Superman/Batman, along with Batman Confidential, don't take place inside the normal DC Universe timeline, so Bruce is still Batman in both books.

CConn is correct. I believe also that the JMS written Brave and The Bold run (starting in September) will feature Bruce Wayne as Batman. Kevin Smiths upcoming Batman stuff will also feature Bruce Wayne I think.

kevin smith is working on batman? so we're gonna get like, what, 2 issues of a 6 issue arc over a 2 year period?

...the hell? Seriously? I haven't followed the monthlies in years, but that sounds hilariously bad.

^ Dick Grayson is officially Batman and Bruce Wayne's 10 year old son is now Robin. Tim Drake is travelling the world as Red Robin while Detective Comics has been taken over by Batwoman and Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman have teamed up in their own title. You must seriously be avoiding Batman news if you don;t know any of this

It really is the only way they could believably make Dick Grayson wear the Batman costume... besides Halloween.

So i herd Superman/Batman 62 is really good... i havent read the series before but i think i'll start

Oh, I knew about half those things you've mentioned. Just not the details.

I'm sure there were other viable methods, albeit controversial to the fanbase. Being shot back in time to prehistoric times though? That's not only cheap (because it can be reversed), but that's something out of a bad 80s cartoon. :csad:

Yeah. But then why put so much effort into a move that is just to shut up idiots that cry out for Dick Grayson to be Batman...

Sales for shock factor. DC/Marvel pull these things all the time.

Question is if it worked, because I can't be the only one that thinks that idea is beyond moronic. :funny:

I think everyone is just awaiting to see how clever/lame the plan to bring 'em back is.

I have a feeling something will be revealed in Blackest Night.

i think this one will last a little longer than that. its only been 3 months with Dick. i expect to see Bruce back in action by either issue 700 or when the next Batman film is released, whichever comes first.

yea i wouldve been happier if he just died at the end of R.I.P. like everyone thought he would. dying in a helicopter crash taking down your greatest opponent is much better way for him to go than getting Omega-beamed to the stone age.

Seriously. And I'm like you. Havent followed it in years, and the way things are, I dont think I want to.

I hate how confusing they make these. They all intertwine with each other. I'm not rich dammit!
