Seriously...
It feels like they'll never be made. There was an idea throwing around, many moons ago, of Batman/Superman..which I'm sure many years from now we'll get.I could ramble on about the speed of films being made and how we're probably not going to see any for a good 10 years or so...but bah...it will wait. Just thought to keep the whole "superhero" genre from getting stale... I'm just thinking, especially in the world of Spidey...is it about time we started doing some cross overs? And if so, what do we want to see? FF and spidey? Cap and spidey...or Punisher? And if not...any other comic book franchises you think would get made quicker/better?
Discuss....

X-Men and Spider-Man is what I want to see. And with both franchises being highly successful, other crossovers would be sure to follow.

Eh, I don't think Marvel crossover movies would do so good. Batman and Superman on the other hand...

Yeah, I agree...and it's strange.

You'd think...ok, if Bats and Supes can do it, why not Spidey and Johnny (Storm)?

Oh Please No. This just doesn't work on film. Crossovers like these makes the characters seem not as important.

Seriously, if X-Men and Spider-Man live in the same universe on film, what's the importance of Spider-Man? No one would care about him because there's tons of other mutants all across New York to be paying attention on. Not to mention the people of NYC love Spider-Man but in X-Men, society sees them as outcast. Now if they lived in the same universe, people would see Spider-Man as a mutant and that would completely contradict Spider-Man 3's message of everyone in the city loving him, as people don't love mutants!

That and the fact that the X-Men films take place in the future make it even more impossible to happen :o

Mutant/human relations are going well by X3, with Beast's promotion and everything. Only about half of society hates them, like our modern society with Puerto Ricans. The X-Men movies are in the future though, and also they sucked.

Eh

No, crossover films reek of cheese and just make it look like the studio is milking the franchise.

you need to bring together a team FOR THE FIRST TIME in the movie, to have seperate movie franchises combining won't work. An avengers movie where the characters are INTRODUCED in that movie etc, that could work..... (but highly neccessary)

Yes...I need to see an Avengers/JL movie...but since DC's movie franchises are a flop (except Batman), I'll place more hope on the Avengers.

I would want to see an Avengers or FF crossover with the X-Men, or a Wolverine crossover with Spidey. The Avengers, though, I have high hopes for...

how about the spidey friends (spiderman/x-men kinda?) LOL
they already have iceman, they just need to bring in firestar, or replace her with one of the other x girls

like the ultimate x-men issue with cap, daredevil and wolvie, that could be cool

....or replace Firestar with Johnny Storm (seeing as how that's who they wanted in the first place).

ya, but, then you got your self a superhero sausage feast LOL

you gotta get a girl in they somewhere, how about, iceman and kitty, human torch, and spidey , or maybe bring in spidergirl, idk?
(you know its funny, thinking back i don't remember, any of peters love interest being included in the cartoon, besides the the girl from the future lol)

I know this is a Spiderman thread, but I think a good crossover movie might be Wolverine and Electra. I know the Electra movie did not do that well (I haven't even seen it yet myself), but I think there is a great comic story line with those characters and I think the cross over wouldn't be cheesy.

I don't think every idea ever put into comics would make a good MOVIE. Crossovers don't sit well with me really. See, every super hero movie has its own style, its own story, its own world really. The directors of these movies have worked hard to make them their own, and crossing the characters over into other worlds (not just movies, these are all separate worlds here) just doesn't make sense. I enjoy the occasional mention of a different hero (ex: Gotham in Superman Returns) but all in all, crossovers are silly. Spider-Man needs to continue his story. Why would I want to see the X-Men or Daredevil randomly thrown into his saga? Movies like X3 and Spider-Man 3 are criticized for being overcrowded the way it is, what would crossovers help?

I was thinking more along the lines of Spidey and Johnny Storm...

possibly make mention of the other Fantastic three, but primarily focus on Spidey, then the accasional help from Johnny.
