Just last week some people moved next door to me. They have seven dogs all chained up in their yard. I really don't feel safe now because they don't have a gate in their driveway and if one manages to break it's chain it can just run out. And summer's almost here and kids are gonna be out of school playing and they can easily get attacked if those dogs get loose.

Just today my mom and the guy who's remodeling a bathroom in my house were backyard and one dog kept barking at them and tried to get over the fence. The fence is low and it's almost broken. If it wasn't for the chain it would have went after them. This one was a pitbull and according to my mom they have another one. I'm scared to even go in my own backyard now. I've never been comfortable around large dogs.

As long as the homeowner can properly care for and maintain the dogs, there's no limit

Where's Michael Vick when you need him

Too soon?

I believe there is a certain point where you have to have a Breeder's License to own a certain number of dogs/cats. It varies by state, and perhaps some states don't require it, but I know they do here. Call your humane society...I'm sure they can tell you.

But a breeder's license is for breeding animals for profit. Not every owner of a pet is interested in having their pet give birth to litters

Seriously they have 7 dogs? 1 pack of hot dogs and 1 gallon of anti-freeze. Problem solved.

That is incorrect.

Most Counties, who regulate this, have a limit of 5 Dogs before it is called a Kennel. They have to have a Kennel Permit if they have 5 or more.

I would call the local sheriffs or Humane Society.

Dogs rarely do that too.

In my county, you have to get a license if you own 4+ dogs.

Course, we have four dogs and we didn't get a license.

Okay nit-pickers!

Cats very rarely attack humans and when they do they aren't really that effective because they are generally small and easily kicked.

Not that I would kick a cat, I'm just saying...

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Cats have claws and they can dig really deep into your skin. Piss off the wrong cat and you're shredded.

Meh, I chose the wrong word. SuBe got it with the Kennel License...I was close though. Knew it was something like that.

Okay...

:cmad:

All cats and dogs should be banned! Forever! They are all apparently very dangerous and evil. Michael Moore is making a movie I've heard.

It depends on the law. I've checked for my town and it's vague for non-commercial purposes.

And if I didn't live in an apartment, but a house, and one of my neighbors had a few dogs, unless they have a history of getting out and biting people, I wouldn't call. That's just me.

I would only call if the dogs seem to not be taken care of. Or, if you feel that they are opperating an legal kennel.

I basically would only call for the protection of the dogs.

I say get a shotgun and get some free dinner. :o

Which is why I said in my first post "if they can properly care and maintain the dogs" and then from my previous post "that the dogs don't have a history of getting out and biting people", I'd just leave the phone alone.

But then, I'm the type of person that wouldn't call unless I got bit. If someone else got bit, I wouldn't call. They know how to operate a phone.

Yeah if they take care of the dogs properly then, cant really say anything.
