Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Is it time for bottle/character focus episodes?

There's a lot to love about AOS, and frankly they have more to accomplish than any other comic show on air to do.

However, I feel a 20ish episode season can give them sum leeway to focus some episodes on individuals only.

i.e. Ward is about due for an mutli-episode arc focused only on his side of the larger story. No SHIELD agents whatsoever, just him.

Another idea, a prequel arc of Mack,Bobbi and Hunter being together.

Does the show have time to do these style of arcs or is just not feasible?

I don't think some of your ideas are feasible, but I'd like some more character focused episodes in the second half as opposed to the plot driven ones we've mostly had.

I'd love an episode with just Ward (and Agent 33). It reminds me of the Avatar episode "Zuko Alone."

They kinda had a Ward stand alone in season 1.....
There's too much going on right now to do it...maybe season 3
But yeah.....would love to see something like a nice 2 episode arc

With aliens, inhumans, and Crazy Cal, I've kind of lost interest in Ward. It's interesting that he ran off with Agent 33. She still has May's face and Ward slept with May. Does that mean Agent 33 will be happy to comply in a special way for Ward?

Unless he turns into Taskmaster, I don't care about Ward anymore either.

I don't see how anyone could lose interest in Ward, his arc is filled with intrigue. There are so many ways they could take the character.

Right now I feel like for now Wards story is told and there are other more important things going on. Unless they give him a very good & interesting arc, that is not connected to his obsession with Skye I am not interested in him what is going on with him right now.

Ward's story is definitely not told, because every time one door closes with him another one seems to open. Him and Agent 33 are both lost, aimless characters, and they bring a wildcard dynamic and a secondary story to the show that's been missing the past couple of episodes. They set that duo up perfectly.

Besides, the showrunners recently said that Ward has a very important role moving forward.

I do not follow all the interviews, so if it is like i said an interesting and good arc than I am interested. The fact that he got away with Agent 33 does leave some questions for course, at the same time it felt like a good place to let it rest for awhile. Something they have done in the past, that they put things on hold for awhile.

Everyone has their preference but right now I am more interested in where things go with for example Inhumans than with Ward. So like I stated before, for me I do not feel like he would add anything to the story. Than again, I do not know what the producers have in store for him and I hope they surprise me. Perhaps phrasing it as his story being told was a bit strong. What I meant to say since he is not directly tied to a story line right now I would not mind for his story to be put on hold for now. If it turns out that he is still connected to it all, I hope it's done right and in an interesting way. Its just that I personally am not that interested in his story line right now as there are other things that I am more interested in right

yeah when skye shot him potentially his last cord to another human being was cut. he is basically a gun, bomb, killing machine, what ever that is about to learn to think for himself, aimless is a good word for it.

I understand that you're not interested in him right now, personally I don't want them to force him in episodes where he doesn't fit, so I can wait, but the original poster I responded to said they lost interest in Ward completely and I don't see how. If he didn't show up anymore then the last time he appeared would have been an extremely unsatisfactory ending to a fascinating story.

Ward and Agent 33 will be the new face of Hydra on the show. Hydra are Shields arch enemy you can't simply write them off.

After she gives up on the May face:o

I believe they can absolutely do something interesting with Ward. I believe any character has potential for an interesting story and I also understand why this ending for him would be unsatisfactory. So I do understand you point of view :).

Not really interested in Ward, I thought he should have died along with Whitehall. His arc is done, short of redeeming fully.

As for bottle episodes, there's too much going on right now. Maybe once the Inhuman thing settles down

I'm fine with Ward coming back on occasion, but as a guest star. I don't want them to try and shoehorn him in just to keep him as part of the regular cast.
