It's much better than the victorian kill 'em all method. But too many ex-cons end up repeating their offenses and just come right back.
The prisons are too crowded and American has the highest percent of incarcerated inmates in the world.
Is there something else that nobody has though of yet? Could their be a way to remove violent traits in criminals?

Maybe if our prison system didn't give them heat, AC, cable, and easy ways to get released then people would be more afraid of doing crimes.

That's great so when it gets to freezing is Illinois and they all die of frost bite.:whatever:

Yeah, we treat them so nice that they just don't care if they come back. Here's a nice warm meal and a warm bed. Something like that needs to change.

What if the inmates win?

Do we let them go?
The inmates can't win. There will be prison guard snipers watching over the arena and will kill them before they get a chance to win.:o

Just saying, they get better care in prison than homeless people do. Hell, if I was homeless I'd probably purposely get arrested. Regular meals, television, etc....much better than sleeping on benches.

That's a crappy idea, no sport in it if they can't win.

Yeah, meals, television and ass rape.:whatever:

So you think that the prison system is harsh enough?

I think the prison system is broken, we don't need to turn it into some kind of torture. If we do that why are we any better than North Korea or the U.S.S.R?

I'm not saying turn it into a torture system.....but I do believe that reducing things to the necessities may help stop prisoners from returning to prison, etc. Just a theory of course, but obviously things aren't working the way they are now. Prison IS supposed to be a punishment.

Our current prison system is a joke. Jail should be 24/7 solitary confinement for all murders and rapes with only the bare necessities provided.

lobotmies(sp)?

we could ship them all off to australia...:woot:

I think air conditioning and heat are necessities.:whatever:

Then how did people live for centuries without them? Even fires didn't give people as much heat as heating systems do. Granted, I can see heat being necessary in TRULY FREEZING situations.

When you're in a six by six cell without much water it's a necessity.

Look at European prisons, they're paradises compared to that and almost nobody goes to jail.

There's only one Major prison in the Netherlands.

There's less crime to commit when nearly everything is legalized :oldrazz:

The revolving door system is broken. The law protects criminals more than it punishes them, laughable really.

I don't know anything about European prisons. So, why do you think not many people go to jail over there?

Hahaha

And they live a better life than most people in America, they have almost no homeless and everybody gets free health care.

Weed doesn't turn people into psychos; we should save those cells for meth cookers instead of doobie growers.
