Is the UK Big Brother Show Racist?

The thick part was more what got me. I was unfortunate enough to read about some of the crap she came out with on Big Brother, the first time around

"What, you mean chickens don't eat cheese?"
"East anglia? Isn't that like, near tunisia?"
"How come they never need to come in and change the film in these cameras?"

There was a load more, but those were the ones I caught. Stupid people annoy the heck outta me.

Stupid can be annoying but I don't have too much of a problem with it, and it can be funny on occassion. Fat is also not an issue. Being nasty is what gets me. She's happy bullying others despite being involved with an anti-bullying charity. ...Guess that's the stupidness kicking in again.

I really don't see how Jade can be labelled as "racist". It's just a cultural clash. Jade, I'm sure you know of her background, was brought up in an unstable home, the real identity of her father has never been discovered etc. Shilpa, on the other hand, has, as she says, a close-knit family, very conservative. The two are world's apart.

Jade isn't sure what to make of Shilpa, and in a house that small with nothing better to do, of course little things will tick you off. The way somebody laughs... the way they speak... the way they yawn.. anything and everything would annoy you in conditions like that. And that's what's happening.

besides, when Jade was creating her perfume, didn't she actually go to India to see it being processed? Didn't she taste their food, experience their culture? Anybody who calls her a resist is just looking to demote somebody because they've got nothing better to do.

I never called her a racist. She's a bully.

It's annoying for sure, but she probably shouldn't be shot for it. If she wasn't nasty I'd let her off on that charge. I can't believe C4 thought it would be a good idea inviting half her family on.

Canada is a member of the Common Wealth, we don't deserve this kind of abuse. Don't we get credit for Vimy ridge or something. We don't export our bad Canadian TV to the UK (and trust me there is a lot of bad Canadian TV). Export more good stuff, like Hugh Laurie.

I wholeheartedly agree. I could just about stand all the hype about Kate Moss- she is famous for something, even if it was just having no **** and screwing a junkie. Jade? Yeah. A bit much.

Anyone else think it would be great fun to herd them all into the house, cut them off from the world with a limited number of supplies, and then three days in, make a lot of loud explosion sounds outside the house and cut all contact? Just leave the cameras rolling. Great way to dispose of unwanted plebs.
