Anybody here ever come into contact with Big Brother?

There was a lady at my work (we work at a hospital) and she parked in the parking garage. Well, she drove a car that didn't have her employee sticker, and she didn't park in the employee level. Well, without knowing who the car belonged to, the security guys were running plates of the cars. (This happened overnight when the security guards do nothing). Eventually they got to her car and found that she was an employee then gave her a ticket.

Is it right for our plate numbers to be traceable back to us from unauthorized sources (work)?

Another experience is that there's a doctor who works in the ER who planted a tracer in his sons car. The doctor carries the laptop around constantly and continually spies on his son's driving frequencies. Talk about invasion of privacy.

Also, I know most schools around where I live are now requiring children to wear clear plastic backpacks to school or no other form of carrying your books besides a locker that has a prescribed code from the office.

Yep,the country is turning into Russia with the Big Brother stuff. Before you know it all houses will be made out of glass so everybody can see what your doing in your house.

If I have encountered it, I don't think I am aware of it. Though we do have to to wear (if we wear) mesh, see-through backpacks.

did they give her a ticket as in "permission to park where you are supposed to" or as in "infraction to the facilities' parking and driving regulations"?, be more specific

have you asked the doctor about his son's hobbies and activities? maybe the kid has a knack for getting in trouble, or something like that, I know that I wouldn't take such extreme instances with my kids unless they were into some extreme situations

the clear back pack is so that kids don't sneak guns into schools and kill each other, but that's the symptom of a bigger problem
