Is there a connection between the Jamie Buldger murder and Child's Play 3?

I just need to know if the film is really to blame for the infamous 1993 UK child murder?

Remember Andy is all grown up in Childs play 3. Is that guy the same actor as the kid in childs play 1 and 2?

No, it's not. Well, maybe it is, cause we all know there was no child murder before the bad horror movies about a killer doll.

It's almost impossible to say whether or not it actually is. Although alot of what was actually done to the child mirrors things in the film (i.e The blue paint in the eye), you can't blame the murder entirely on the movie. Bare in mind that Jon and Robert's upbringing was absent of parents to teach them this sort of stuff, which is how they came across the movie in the first place.

Personally, I'd say the movie influenced them, but it didn't scream to them "Go and abduct a child and kill him".

i thought they used the blue paint to dehumanize the boy.... didn't they also sexual assault the baby... ?
