IS this a good comic book idea?

So I am writing a comic book...or three but thats besides the point...

A friend and I are self publishing under our own comic label. I just wanted to know when you think of a comic what is the first thing that comes to mind. For me would be anything fantastic, superman, batman, spawn, spider-man...walking dead...punisher

stuff like that...I am writing a few things, superhero type thing, a horror comic and a fantasy comic...

my buddy is writing a comic based on this guy who has just had enough...he is tired of all of the drug dealing and the needless killing, so he takes the law into his own hands and starts to take back the town he loves...
the guy is an everyday type of guy and he never disguises himself, mostly wears a short sleeve tshirt and a pair of jeans...there is a pastor who helps him and a nieghbor...that is all I can say

You haven't really given us anything to go on. That premise is pretty standard, and you haven't given us any details to make us think it'd be any better or worse than any other story about a guy killing people because he's angry. Is the story in favor of his actions? Does it dondemn them? What are the consequences of his actions? Does he have specific goals or is simply on a rampage of vigilante justice? What obsticals does he face? What is his relationship like with this pastor? Who are the antagonists? If you answer these questions, give us these details, then wether or not it's a good idea could be assessed.

It's the details are what make stories stories. They're what fills them with human emotion and makes them a participatory experience for the audience. They're what turns "A hippy talks about God and then dies" into this:
