In a conference call this morning, Marvel Studios' David Maisel said that Iron Man 2 will be used to introduce Thor. Regarding more "Hulk" movies, Maisel said "We definitely plan on continuing." He added that development continues on Spider-Man 4. "I can't give any other updates other than to say it's in development and everybody's excited about 'Spider-Man 4,'" he said.

I agree with Mr. Shifty, if these production companys could come up with a way of slightly tying in the heroes, even if it's just by mention about an event that happened in one of the other movies, because we already know that Hulk and Iron Man are causing mass property damage in their prospective movies.

You know it's funny that it's already been a year and only one thing has been confirmed about this movie.

Heck, only one thing has been mentioned. I like that it sounds like they are making progress behind closed doors. But mayem and wild accusations and theories were everywhere a year after the other two movies.

I guess fans are sort of taking a break from the spider man movies as well. I mean these boards are sort of dead with the only threads being countless ones about recasting.

Not really confirmed, but that's the tentative date. If they don't get a cast and director by the end of this year, though, I could see Sony pushing the movie back to 2011.

So that means that they are actually waiting to have a finished script before: Setting a release date, hiring actors and making contracts, filming etc.

that IS a good sign.

and guys just because Iron man was awesome doesn't neccesarily mean that Marvel studios is going to make hit after hit. We'll have to at least wait to see the Incredible Hulk to start saying its the next Pixar or something.
