The only way to fail to lose weight is when you fail to actually try to lose weight.Nah, not accepted, I still try, I just put some context on the failures, which I admit.
I knew a guy in college who was OBESE. He was 5'8" and 405 pounds. He needed a cane to walk because his body couldn't support the weight he was carrying. He had the "woe is me" thing going on, depressed all the time, and some serious health issues that were guaranteed to kill him before he was 40. He finally started listening to us about how to eat right. He started walking for 30 minutes a day, every day, even though it was excruciatingly painful for him to do so. After a couple of months, the pain of walking went away and he'd shed 35 pounds. Six months later he was jogging and had lost 125 pounds. A year later he was lifting with us and going for long runs and had dropped 215 pounds and looked great. Every time I hear someone say they can't do it, I think of Brian and how he changed his life and simply have to call "bullsh1t" on anyone who says they can't change their life for the better. If he did it, anyone can.

Here goes:
Typical story, chubby kid(born that way, not through overeating, parents wouldn't have that), ostracized at school, teased, carried that through years growing up, success here in there, especially in athletics through hard work. Once the college years started, too busy to exercise and eat right, got larger and larger, which in turn doesn't help in the social realm, which leads to depression, which lead to more bad eating habits(no other vices in life, just enjoyment of lots of ****ty food).
Once you surpass a certain size the chances of losing it and keeping it off are like slim to none, but attempts are constantly made, lost 50 to 100 here, gain it all back there, do it again and again, always something that makes you go back to how it was before, usually a major change in life derails you. Finally got gastric bypass surgery, have kept off around 140 lbs from it(though got a good deal lower from the first initial rush), but am still a large dude, and no more attractive than I was before, but at least not in deaths range, due to the ability to exercise and such, which is nice.
So really, nothing precluding me from losing all the weight, except for history, genetics, lack of will power, and the ebb and flow of life.
i can't even wrap my mind around people yo-yoing to the point of losing and gaining 100 lbs... 100 is just SO much weight.... how much do you have to eat to GAIN 100 lbs?!
It's 8pm, do you know you're fat children still are gross?Look at that, 2 and half hours later and fat people are still gross.
