It's Nice To See Racism In America Is Alive And Well!

Whatever floats your boat my good man. :yay:

Oh and to show you that Obama is considered worse than Carter

His approval rating is what I was referring too. I honestly think he's the worst president to date. The man can't seem to do anything right and if he gets another term, he's going to destroy this country, but I don't want to get into a political debate.

I think things could've turned out far worse with a truly bad president.

After the meltdown of 2008 we could be in a depression and Bin Laden could still be alive today.

He's far from the worst. His presidency had been a mixed bag.

But yeah that's for another forum.

I question whether people who think Obama is the worst president ever were in a coma from 2000-2008.

That's the thing about racists. They exist in every form possible, and will use whatever tools they can to justify it. In my mind, any racist who uses religion to justify their racism is only into said religion because it is an "authority", and they feel its the best and easiest way to justify their opinion. And that mindset isn't limited to just racists.

One of the largest churches in my area is led by a black preacher and his white wife.

The church my parents started in was actually led by a black preacher and his white wife . When my Dad told him about heading south for bible schooling the pastor was a bit upset ( he knows about the racial views of the local pastor down here).

I heard about this on the news. It's funny...in a cute kind of way. That reason being that it's about to be 2012 and there are still supremely close minded people out there who think that skin color and different culture is evil. It's quite humorous.

I grew up in Pittsburgh my whole life and went through the public school system from kindergarten to senior year of high school. I grew up with all kinds of different races through the years and, thanks to my parents not being racist too, I never judged people by skin color. To be perfectly honest I never heard the dreaded "N-word" and other various racial slurs until about halfway through junior high. That was from my "fellow" white friends who didn't really have many black people exposed to them.

There were a handful of black people that were a bit racist. I remember in freshman English I was just sitting there reading a book. This big fat black girl, named Mahogany, leans over and whispers in my ear "You a honkey". Now I did ABSOLUTELY nothing to provoke this other than sitting there and reading and minding my own business. So, I put my book down I smiled brightly and replied, "That's right. I'm honkey, cracka, white devil and you better remember that". Then I went back to reading my book and she never bothered me again.

It's 2012. Racist people are hilarious. Mainly because of their fear. A fear that someone with a different color will be better than you or "take all your jobs away". Everytime I've encountered racism I generally laugh at people and point out how close minded and unintelligent they sound.

However, there are a lot of problems in this world, other than racism, that need to be addressed. I personally think the biggest travesty going on today is the fact that gay and lesbians cannot get married. That they are outcasted an treated less than heterosexual people. It's a travesty that many politicians integrate their religious beliefs in how they run their office. It's disgusting. Religion and state should always be kept separate because not everybody is a Christian or a Catholic. Not everybody in this world sits there and lives their life according to the Bible.

How about these "God Hates ****" people who protest at dead soldiers funerals? That's sick. That's a true travesty. Racist people are low on the list because racism does still exist. However, it doesn't exist as strongly as it did 50 years ago. Eventually the old way of thinking dies out and a new generation takes over to help make things a little easier. Racism won't "die out" but slowly the people who still continue to be racist will get more comical as time passes.

as a black man i don't need this article to prove or know racism is alive and well.
it will always be alive and well as long as the education divide exists and is enforced...from BOTH ends.

stop using this as a reason to spew your anger at your hatred for religion.

this is about racism, it just happened at a church. a church predominately full of racists.

If this was at a supermarket no one would say "this is why i dont go to supermarkets"

"Muslims attacked the troops, thats why i don't go to mosques."

Racism is no doubt the worst aspect of mankind. "YOU'RE DIFFERENT FROM ME!? I HATE YOU!"

Agreed. Bush 2 is clearly the worse President ever.

Anyways the people in that Church are flipping ******ed.

Yep. It ain't going anywhere.

Nor will it ever. Its human nature to distrust that which is perceived as different. The best we can really hope for is that the majority of people respect each others rights as equal human beings and the law will represent that and uphold it. There will always be a % of everything.

Fact is people have the right to dislike others for whatever reason they choose. My problem is when people "dehumanize" others and feel they deserve less representation or rights in society.

I'm from Kentucky and this really doesn't surprise me, though its hardly representative of everyone there. Its little different than any other largely rural state in that respect. I love my home state but I definitely have a good facepalm moment every now and then from stories that come out of there. The creation museum was a particular source of embarrassment.

Call me crazy, but I'm thinking America might be way down the list when it comes to most racist countries in the world. I bet we'd do extremely well in a global poll...I mean look at the damn president! I couldn't possibly imagine there being a minority president in most other countries. I guess the same could've been said about America 100 years ago.

Hmmmmm..

You don't have to go back that far.

You don't have to go back that far.

Hell, I was surprised it happened now. I thought we were another 30 years from something like that. Not sure if its a new tolerance or the fact that Bush was such a disaster. Either way its a good sign from a racial perspective.
