I just upgraded my iTunes to 7.0 and all hell has broken loose.

I had to make my load settings jump through fire just to get the new iTunes to open, but now it can't connect to the iTunes music store. What's worse is that now the user has to be logged onto the store just so he can listen to songs that he had downloaded from the store.

Anyone else having these problems?

I never upgraded out of fear that something like that may happen.

Sorry Kane, never had an iTunes problem on the pc, and I've upgraded from 4.0 up. (I think it started with 4 on the pc's).

I'm really digging the new 7.0 even though I haven't bought any movies. Although I'm not sure what the difference between 7.0 and 7.1 is, except for the new diagnostic tool.

But Apple tends to have superior tech support. They've probably got a solution on their forums.

Do you have 7.0.1 installed? Try a complete uninstall and reinstall. Something got corrupted along the way it sounds like, so best to start fresh.

I just logged out of my iTunes account thing and I was still able to listen to purchased music. Like jag said, looks like somethng just went awry during the installation process.

Last time I upgraded all my songs were deleted. It always pops up telling me to upgrade, but I know its trickery now. :cmad:

I have yet to upgrade my old version and probably never will. I am far too attached to my 939.1 megabytes worth of songs to tread into dangerous waters.
