I've finally experienced racism

Today Regina (Saskatchewan, Canada) had this mulitcultural event called mosiac where different cultures have pavillions all around the city where you go see a glimpse of their culture. Me and my pakistani friends decided to go check them out, the city or the event planners were running a free bus service, since none of us have our full license we used that. Well one of the buses we were getting on had all of the seats taken so they kicked me and my pakistani friends off, which we didnt have a problem with since the rules are the rules right? Wrong the same amount of white people come out of the hotel we were in front off and are allowed to sit on the floors of the bus while we get to wait another half an hour for the next bus. We were pretty pissed and just called my mom to give a lift because the hotel was in a shady part of the city. My friends want to file a complaint since but I dont know what it will accomplish. It kind of soured the whole experience though.

Yeah, racism sucks. Just take solice in the fact that racists are a bunch of idiots who will be punished for their actions.

You should definately file that complaint. The guy will most definately get fired.

I hate it when this kind of thing happens, and people do nothing. File that damn complaint! When I worked in the cinema, I saw that so many people just sit there and do nothing when people act like jerks in the cinema. I'm like, get your ass up, go and complain, and we will most definately kick that person out.

What are you afraid of?? Go complain!!

People on these boards have things backwards. Get punched in the face once by your nephew that can't hurt you? Waste valuable police time!! A genuine case of racism, not being allowed on the bus, and you just sit there and take it??

membrane, it may not be racism, it could be ageism or plain moneyism...

just like the way that famous people get to go through clubs without having to queue...

sure it was a liability taken against you but i don't think you should see the reason for it purely being a race one, from what you've described i wouldn't necessarily put it down to that.

saying this, i wouldn't let no igbo girl on my bus either...
