This Batman movie is going to have one hell of a cast.

Ben Affleck (with some momentum behind him, not as much doubt from fans, more excitement hopefully), Jeremy Irons, J.K Simmons, Jared Leto, hopefully Margot Robbie, maybe Will Smith if they go ahead with the triple-threat rumor. Then you have the possibility of Catwoman being cast.

personally I don't want Leto's joker in Ben Affleck's the batman he will already be in Sucide Squad 1 and possibly 2 by the time we get Affleck's solo film I want a different threat. Killer Croc ClayFace I will even take the riddler just bto get away from the joker.

I disagree. You HAVE to have a Joker-Batman showdown in every single universe for me to take it seriously. They're not going to tease it in Suicide Squad and have these characters in separate films only to pull the plug on it before it even happens. It's what the general audience is waiting for, it's what the majority of the fans are waiting for.

Sure Killer Croc can have a scene, or there might be a secondary threat. But Joker has to have a huge part in the next solo film. They won't let that slip through their fingers, not a chance.

Yeah agreed. I can't wait for the showdown between the definitive cinematic versions of Batman and Joker

the TRUE versions of these characters, that actually adhere to the comics more than any other interpretation. I've been waiting for this for my entire conscious life basically.

Just because Ben's Batman has been around for longer and has a grey suit, doesn't mean he's the most true version of Batman yet. Wait until you see the movie first. His character could be off. Same goes for Jokers look or his behavior.

Calling them definitive before seeing them in full context is a little ridiculous bro.

I am giddy as hell for this, I love J.K., he did voice General Eilling in JLU and was the president in Command & Conquer, so he's good at these authority roles. He's not just comedy only like some think just because of JJ.

J.K. Simmons as the new Gordon...I don't have a problem with that at all because not only is he a great actor but also if anyone could top Oldman as Gordon then it is definitely Simmons

Simmons as Gordon is good casting. I hope I see a real Batman comic movie, I wouldn't mind a villain or two just for an opening sequence, and then move on to the main story. I hope we see Batman vs Joker, and some back story come to light. I wonder what we will see in Suicide Squad. I would really like to see Nightwing personally

We get a very classic looking Commissioner Gordon in the film. We were on set for J.K. Simmons’ first day and he was wearing a hat, tie, long trench coat and glasses. He looked like the animated series Gordon and also like he was literally ripped out of the comics. Fans will be very happy.
