    Happy Easter, Guest!

Jack Black and Eli Roth to live in The House with a Clock in its Walls

Still loving the look of this, I agree that it seems very reminiscent of those awesome 90's Spielberg and Spielbergesque Amblin kids movies. Who knew Eli Roth could actually make stuff like this??

Also, us Blanchett fans are getting so much great new content this year. :jd:

This looks pretty cool, it’s grabbed my interest.

This is what Goosebumps should've been. Finally some atmosphere.

Trailer looks pretty good. Actually pulled me in more than I expected it to.

This reminds me more of Lemony Snicket (the Jim Carrey one). Didn't realize Eli Roth directed this. Definitely out of left field for him.

Just watched trailer and was impressed but can't bring myself to watch an Eli Roth film.

Yeah, I'm not exactly his biggest fan.

I'm not exactly a fan of his either, but does this movie look anything like your standard Eli Roth fare? It's a bit silly to completely discount a film because you don't like the director's previous output, whilst simultaneously admitting that the trailer looks impressive. At least wait until the reviews come out before condemning it.

Look at the Russo brothers, their most significant directorial effort before directing three of the biggest, most financially successful and critically acclaimed movies in the MCU was 'You, Me and Dupree' for goodness sake. This movie could mark a turning point in Roth's career.

I'm not condemning anything. As I said above, it looks pretty good.

No, MTG, I think it was a dig at me over a discussion that took place in another thread, only yesterday. It's okay, I'm not dismissing this one for a 2 for 2.

As my previous statement said, I was impressed by the trailer. :cwink:

I never would've guessed Eli Roth directed this. I'm definitely intrigued.

I watched just the first 20-25 seconds of the new trailer and nope, I'm not watching anymore.

I'm already sold & I don't hafta watch more footage. This looks excellent. I'm really looking forward to this.

The first trailer did nothing for me. To the point, that didn't know there was a second trailer until I saw it in front of Ant-Man and Wasp. But the second one, which gave a lot more context, looked pretty fun to me.

Just noticed a cool Back to the Future easter egg in the trailer

Space Man from Pluto is the title that Sid Sheinberg, head of Universal, suggested calling Back to the Future.

It's also a cool nod to another Amblin movie Gremlins that plays on alternate titles to classic Spielberg movies.

No one can convince me that the kid in this wasn't cloned in a lab using the DNA of Jacob Tremblay and Dylan Minnette. It's eerie.

Eli Roth might have some dirt on Blanchett. This looks like a pile of meh.

It actually looks like the best thing Eli Roth has ever directed.

Isn't it odd a guy who does modern grindhouse films is doing a fantasy film?

Miles better than the ugly theatrical poster, but I don't know why they've drawn Cate to look about 30 years older than she actually looks. I know the character in the book is quite a lot older, but they clearly haven't made her up to look older in the actual film.
