Yeah, I actually agree. For a majority of the movie he was fine, but there were a couple of scenes where his acting bothered me, especially when he was supposed to be crying and/or expressing grief. I guess it's understandable, that level of emotion must be incredibly difficult for an adult actor to pull off convincingly, let alone a child.

I agree. That is why I am not going to be too hard on him, LOL! He's just a kid.

I completely agree on the young man's ability to cry on demand. It was not great, and kind of funny at times. But outside of that, I thought he was rather decent.

This was ok. I think younger kids will like it more because there are some good friendly jump scares that horror fans have come to expect. But there was just a bit too much exposition and not enough urgency in the plot. The young actor started out fine but slowly got annoying.

I think Cate Blanchett looked hotter here than in Ocean’s 8 or Ragnarok.
