Action-Adventure 'Jack Reacher' series in development for Amazon

I don’t mind Reacher being undercover but that scene in the last episode where he was talking to Duffy ON SPEAKER PHONE in his room with nothing more than a running faucet to keep the bad guys from hearing him was laughable. I’m also really enjoying Duffy, especially her thoughts on Tom Brady lol.

I will say though that as perfect of a fit as Ritchson is for Reacher, there’s is NO WAY IN HELL anyone would ever get that buff eating normal food and not spending 4+ hours a day in the gym lol. Unless he starts his morning doing 10, 000 pushups I don’t see how he can look like that by almost never bench pressing or doing preacher curls. It doesn’t really matter but it’s just kinda funny. I also find it hilarious that anyone other than Paulie would try to pick a fight with him.
I actually am enjoying this season quite a bit, but I also found the speakerphone thing to be hilarious. And Reacher’s reactions every time he gets back from killing one of the crew and gets questioned by Anthony Michael Hall, he sounds like one of my kids trying to come up with a believable excuse of why he stayed out past curfew.

Glad we finally got to see Leon Garber this season. I hope we see more flashbacks of him in Season 4.

There's a lot of silliness in Season 3 especially the way Jack Reacher infiltrates the organization and becomes Number 2 in like three days. You just kind of have to go with it.

It does stretch plausibility someone can so quickly climb the ranks, with what to me was an obvious setup to just get into their organization. Like, Reacher just so conveniently was there when he needed to be and now he's number 2 in less than a week? I guess the writers felt they had to compress it to get the story going instead of him spending weeks and months making his way further up the ladder.

Still, it's entertaining.

I mean Reacher is probably the most Power Fantasy of Power Fantasy stories there is. Season 3 definitely has more whacky elements than Season 2, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't make Season 3 a thousand times more entertaining than Season 2. In terms of purely how entertaining of a watch it is, Season 3's on par with Season 1 imho simply with watching Reacher continually come up with more bull**** ways to somehow not get caught. The opening alone to Season 3 is probably the strongest of the entire series so far

As ridiculous as this season has been Im honestly loving it in comparison to Season 2 which I really enjoyed but this season is superior IMO.

I really think the undercover stuff adds a great new element to this show and man these bad guys are especially ruthless this season. I just wish we got more Paulie and Reacher scenes together because those little bits are easily my favorite parts of this season so far.

I'm guessing they are saving their big fight for the finale which should be a lot of fun.

I have heard her accent slip a few times here and there throughout the season. Not a lot but just enough to notice.

Duffy was badass in this episode too. Until today, I had no idea that the actress (Sonya Cassidy) is British. I’m sure when I hear her with her real accent it’s going to **** with my mind lol.

i loved her "Nomar4Eva" password on the laptop. this show has cast some solid female counterparts. i even enjoyed Kohl in what we got to see of her :/

I'm enjoying the season quite a bit
Neagley is definitely a badass, and I'm even starting to like Anthony Michael Hall's character, which is the first time I can say that in decades

But one thing I'm not buying is the romance with Duffy
Their chemistry is lacking, especially after the more believable romances in seasons 1 and 2

And it may partly be the Boston accent, nobody's attracted to that lol
makes me think of Ted, "Oh yeah haddahh"

Oh and also, does anybody else not give a single s***t about Theresa? Just me??
They should've been showing her plight all season, instead of playing mysterious with whether or not she was alive

I mean, I buy it and don’t have any issues with it. Then again, I think he’s pretty much had romantic chemistry with pretty much every single woman on this show that isn’t or married. :hehe:

This, however, I could not disagree more on.

Despite the fact that, up until this episode, we have not physically seen her within the show, from the little descriptions from Duffy and her personal stake in this, the context clues of Teresa’ situation, knowing how vile of a person Quinn/McCabe is due to his treatment of Kohl and Beck and his son, Reacher’s personal connection to the kidnapper, etc., I am so invested in wanting to see her survive and seeing Quinn get his, even more so after that little scene we get of her tied up and drugged.

I mean, for example, the titular character in Saving Private Ryan doesn’t show up until halfway through the film, yet we care because the main characters do. A character does not have to be shown on screen constantly every single episode in order for us to care for them as long as we know enough about them, that the other characters care about them and knowing what the stakes are. A little can go a long way.

I think it’s just you.

I'm not saying they should've shown her every episode, but up until like 2 episodes ago I was sure she was dead
And Duffy's constantly repeated cries of "But what about Theresa?!" for a character we hadn't met just made me roll my eyes. Like girl, you gotta get over it.

Saving Private Ryan, I basically felt the same way in the beginning, I was sympathetic to all the soldiers saying "why are we putting our life on the line for this guy?" But then half way through you meet him and he's played by someone of Matt Damon's caliber, and it works. Plus you had his brothers all dying, and he was a soldier, not a junkie CI like Theresa.

But I will admit, after finally seeing her this episode, and seeing what Quinn is doing to her, it felt immensely more impactful. Hell, not even showing her, but had they introduced Gramma earlier in the season, I'd have been more invested.

I guess Susan Duffy needs to hold on to something because she's basically ruined her whole career over this. Her activities led to the death of a young DEA agent, an undercover ATF agent, plus lots of other various crimes.

It honestly does feel kinda rushed, ngl

I feel like the initial kiss scene where Duffy backs away should've happened way earlier so her changing her mind felt a bit more organic. Also I legitimately think I might prefer the idea of Reacher/Duffy being platonic simply because it gives very similar vibes to me as Reacher/Neagley
