James Cameron's Sequel to "AVATAR"

The first film was visually stunning. I am curios how the second will turn out. From what I have read, there are three different ways to go.

1. The sea life of Pandora
Perhaps even stranger animals and beasts.

2. Inside Pandora
It could reveal that Pandora is a big biological computer sort-of-thing. Then the question is: who's pulling the strings? Is it some other race, far more developped?
I get the feeling of a "morlock vs eloi" here, with the difference that the underworld creatures are way more high tech and not savages that eat the na'vi.

3. Another moon.
Different climate all-together, very different from Pandora. A tribe of tall yellow people this time? Or normal-sized? Or dwarves?

I could definitely go for some undergound Morlock kind of scenario, but there definitely will be a significant amount of underwater stuff, they bought out a chunk of beach and ocean.

Worthington just hopes that he will continue to get huge paychecks and blockbuster movie roles despite showing no signs of actually being a star in the eyes of the public.

after Avatar made 3 billion Saldana and Worthington will get a big paycheck bump for the sequels . the paycheck will be big just for making the movies. then if you add all the % from the BO. after Avatar 2 and 3 Worthington and Saldana will never have to work again.

Cameron hired Sam. then when hollywood found out that he was in a Cameron movie and they all used him for other movies. Terminator and Clash were filmed before Avatar was realesed.

so true. Personally if I almost walked out on a movie in the theater there is no way I'd even be considering watching it's sequel at this point but whatevs.

Anyway of course Sam Worthington wants 10 avatar sequels! By the time the Avatar franchise is done him and Zoe are going to be some of the richest hollywood actors. Like others though, I don't think he is leading man material. He is very boring to watch. Even in Avatar, I was more interested in watching neytiri than the main character himself.

They actually come out a year later than what you say. Avatar 2 comes out December 2014 and Avatar 3 a year after that.

I really want Cameron to have a capable screenwriter to polish his dialogue when he gets pre-production on these films underway. The man can not write great dialogue to save his life. As long as he can tell a story and deliver GREAT visuals, have someone else get the dialogue for him.

And while Cameron's methods have put off actors like Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio from working with him again, he makes sure his leading actors get paid well. I remember reading an interview with DiCaprio last year, and he said that after Titanic came out -- he was set for life.

As for Worthington, he's like the Australian Colin Farrell. Hollywood constantly wants to push both these guys as A-list stars, but they're not household names.

Colin Farrel was kind of forced on us back 5 years ago but with his Indie movies it shows us he can act. Worthington I have yet to see if he can.

During the shooting of the sinking ship sequence, she got several small injuries, endured several 20-hour workdays, and was appalled by his attitude towards crew members. Here's her take on him: "He's a nice guy but the problem was that his vision for the film was as clear as it was. He has a temper like you wouldn't believe ... As it was, the actors got off lightly. I think Jim knew he couldn't shout at us the way he did to his crew because our performances would be no good."

DiCaprio has not said it outright, but I can't imagine he'd want to work with Cameron again either.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, Sigourey Weaver, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen etc., all worked with Cameron on multiple films and have been incredibly loyal to him.

That is true. However, none of those actors did Titanic (Paxton only had that small role as Brock), and that movie was Cameron's biggest and most problem-plagued production to date. I don't remember any of the major actors from Titanic wanting to work with Cameron again when he began work on Avatar.
