James Cameron's Sequel to "AVATAR"

No one should actually HATE a film. Because it's an inanimate ****ing object! Also, hating something requires some effort, which is a complete waste of energy. And like you say, it makes people act illogical.

Aliens in 3D would be a sight to behold. Just imagine the part where the last few marines are escaping in that air duct, with aliens coming from everywhere, in 3D?

Terminator 2 in 3D seems like an awesome idea imo

It's one of those films I can forgive them trying to convert it into 3D.

Can't believe how far away Avatar 2 seems to be. :(

Here is one of my favorite shots in Avatar just because.

My favorite effects scene in the film, and one I point to in terms of photo-realism. I think honestly, if your brain can't accept that the big blue chick is real and actually touching Sam's character ,it's more to do with the fact that it's a big blue chick and less to do with the quality of the rendering.

Another great example of CG and practical blending is Game of Thrones. They're really quite good at extending sets with CG, so much so that I wasn't aware of just how often that technique is utilized (I believe there's a YouTube clip out there that highlights some of it).

of course the 2014 date is not possible. they need at least 6 months for filming and 2 years of post production. and on top of that teh actors will need to come back for mo-cap reshoots. they would need to start filming in the middle of 2012. which they will not.

I'm wondering if this series is going to have matrix like sequels that kind of water down the story more than expand upon it.

That's great. Just a shame I'm going to have to wait 25 years for this and the 2 Avatar sequels to get released. :csad:

That was In Bruges? I need to see that movie, I caught the reference in the The 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time youtube video. lol

lol yea it's awesome. It's about two hitmen, Farrell and Gleeson, who are hiding out in Bruges after a botched hit. Ralph Fiennes is their boss and is hilarious. It's like a black comedy/drama. You should check it out.

Excellent film. I would link to the 'inanimate ****ing object' clip but don't think I'm allowed. You should look it up on youtube though. Should be enough to convince you to watch the film.

China is the second biggest film market

And it will keep growing like crazy.

Actually, it seems, from reading the article, that getting in bed with a Chinese production company would bring more money from China to the States this way. Kind of counter-intuitive, but makes sense, I guess.

Lmao Avatar 4. I don't for a second believe Cameron will stop making other films, this is just to help make the Avatar brand more enticing to chinese investors.

China box office will one day be bigger than US for sure, so this all makes sense. Cameron is always very forward thinking. And hey if that means more money for asteroid mining adventures, I'm all for it!
