James Wong Confirms Run Time Is 85 Minutes

The same article that had the budget confirmation, also has the official run time to finally put this age old debate to an end.

Dragon Ball Evolution" lasts only 85 minutes, though the edition will be released in a few months on DVD will include a longer version, with scenes that were discarded or clipped to the big screen.

So that puts that argument to rest. There you have it folks. The theatrical version will be 85 minutes (thats including credits) but the DVD release will include extended scenes along with deleted one's as well.

Yes.

85 minutes is the official running time for the theatrical cut everywhere. No one is getting a longer cut, those were only one of many delusions that some people had regarding this film.

The DVD though will have extended scenes as well as deleted scenes. So expect the DVD to be longer.

A tragic runtime for a movie based on something as epic as Dragonball .

And I hate hate hate this method of giving us the full movie on DVD that Fox is becoming so fond of !

You know what some of the studio employees said when they saw the Director's Cut of Daredevil? "Why didn't you release this version in the movies?"

The real version of Daredevil is 133 minutes, so I can understand it being shorter than that. But yeah, it shouldn't be shorter than the 103 theatrical version.
