Action-Adventure Jason Statham is ... THE BEEKEEPER

That kind of looks good imo.
I really have to catch up on Stathams work in recent years, been a long time since i watched a movie with him.

Normally, I wouldn't go this far, but bit of a PSA: do not see this. This was written by none other than Kurt Wimmer, the notorious hack behind Equilibrium, Ultraviolet, the crummy-ass Total Recall and Point Break remakes, and recently Expendables 4. This guy is GOD-AWFUL and does not deserve your money. He also wrote and directed that awful Children of the Corn reboot from a few years ago, in addition to directing Equilibrium and Ultraviolet. Everything this guy touches turns to ****. Avoid anything with Wimmer's name on it.

I actually don't mind Equilibrium, but everything else you mentioned is definitely trash. Ayer also directed this, and outside of End of Watch and Fury the guy hasn't made directed anything decent. I'm just surprised people like Jeremy Irons and Minnie Driver are in this. I guess they had bills to pay.

I'm absolutely positive this wont be a good movie. The only question is will it be a FUN bad movie. Like a stupid turn off your brain Friday night B movie kind of bad movie.

Look at all the other stuff the guy wrote, especially Expendables 4 recently. There's your answer

By that movie title, I thought it was Liam Neeson's new movie.

After watching the trailer I must admit I'm kind of disappointed that this isn't basically a straight-up remake of John Wick but substituting the puppy with honey bees. :o

Looks good, but so generic it just needs Gal Gadot and the Netflix logo and it'd camo itself with all the secret ops movies of the last months.

The movie title sounds intriguing so I watched the trailer. The trailer wasn't good...

This was a fun little throwback to the 90's when action movies could have scripts this dumb and still look great. It's pretty much exactly what you expect, but could have been elevated by an insane twist it then backs off of.

You can't promise me that Jason Statham is gonna kill the President and then not have him kill the President because they were actually innocent all along! :cmad:

And it was nice to see Emmy Raver-Lampman in something, as an old Umbrella Academy fan.

Just got out of this:

10/10

This movie is patently absurd in all the best ways. One of the best B movie action films i’ve seen in a while.

I get the feeling the reason this turned out even remotely decent was that Ayer probably did uncredited rewrites. Cause no way am I given Kurt Wimmer any credit due to that guy's track record.
