Jogger gets run over by deer, critically injured

Police are trying to identify a man struck by three deer and critically injured this afternoon, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports today.

Battle Creek Police Sgt. Martin Brown said the man was walking or jogging about 1 p.m. when several deer began to cross in front of him.

Witnesses said the man waited for several of the deer but did not see three more following and was struck and knocked down.

He was taken to a Kalamazoo hospital in critical condition and police said they are trying to identify him

I was driving to work early one morning and a deer hopped over a bush into the road in front of me. I narrowly missed it, surprised this type of thing doesn't happen more often.
