There is Nothing Unnecessary About a Scarlett Johansson Sex Scene

06:29 AM, Filed under: Celebrities \ Scarlett Johansson

It's official. Movie critics are dumb. According to ContactMusic, after screenings of Scarlett Johansson's latest film The Black Dahlia, many critics complained that they could not concentrate after seeing Scarlett's steamy sex scene.
Scarlett Johansson has angrily dismissed claims her steamy sex scene in new movie The Black Dahlia is an unnecessary distraction. In the film, Johansson enjoys a sizzling romp with Hartnett and critics have complained they found it difficult to concentrate following the raunchy scene.

The blonde star retorts, "Of course it's nice to be considered sexy, as a young woman in my prime. But I try not to think about the sexiness. And I never think about it being distracting from a scene."
Now, let me get this straight. The critics don't want to see Scarlett Johansson getting all hot and sweaty on a 30-foot screen? They think that sort of thing ruins a movie? What they're not saying is that they basically couldn't get their hard-ons under control, and probably had to sit very awkwardly for the rest of the screening.

So, yeah, critics are stupid, and Scarlett Johansson is pretty. And so is Mia Kirshner, and you can see more pictures of both of them at the premiere of The Black Dahlia at the Venice Film Festival after the jump.

Doesnt Mia Kirshner have a lesbian sex scene in this one? (Well she has one in like everything she does but that's beside the point...)

Yeah, I think she does.

Incidentally, some people are calling this DePalma's best film.

As if anyone cares when Scarlett and Mia are getting all hot and naked.

DePalma's doing it?

Okay, now I'm interested on an artistic level.

Yeah, DePalma movie based on a James Ellroy book.

I just think the critics were upset because they weren't in the sex scene with Josh Harttnet.

it shouldn't matter if it distacted them. that just means that just can watch it again. or they could wait for the dvd and scene skip. sort of the balence to all the skipping to that scene most people will be doing.

This is hilarious:D i guess the scene may have had extra sizzle due to them doinking in real life........I'm not sure Scarlett is naked in it though if she is they kept it well under wraps:(

BTW for those asking the lesbian scene is mia and Hilary Swank

Whichever critics said that are ****ing immature babies. The sex scene was purely made for the film and not to play up the relationship. I mean, at the premiere Scarlett and Josh kept their distance not to draw attention on to them and away from the movie.

Every sex scene is for pure artistic purposes.

I LOVE art.

I was planning on seeing this for DePalma...but now...not so much. Scarlett wooo
