I don´t know who Rex Mundi is, but the setting is great.

I know less than squat about this Mundi character, but I figure if Hollywood's gonna bring established pulp characters to the big screen, aside from Indiana Jones, obviously, go with Will Eisner's "The Spirit". I could see Depp sport a domino mask and snazzy blue detective ensemble. Respect for the classics.
