BvS Jor-El/Russel Crowe

I'm not seeing a cast list that includes Russel Crowe. I was hoping that Jor-El's holographic presence in the Fortress Of Solitude was going to be a permanent part of the mythos. Has anyone heard anything regarding this?

(also, I'm hoping for a Jimmy Olsen in this new film franchise but that's a different discussion. )

That's because he isn't included. I don't think he will either as it would've been announced with the rest of the MOS cast.

Maybe cameo will be announced same with Costner. More flash back scenes perhaps?

Eh... It's open ended enough that Crowe COULD come back as Holo Jor-el... But I don't think he'll be in this film.

The key is gone and there are no more ships, though I'm sure Superman could rebuild a computer for the key if he still had it in his possession.

The key and the ship aren't destroyed, they're just in another dimension. Well the scout ship is destroyed, but Zod's ship isn't, and neither is baby Superman's ship. Holding out hope that we'll see Jor-El and Faora again.

At this point I'm guessing the only way we'll see him again is if they eventually get around to the Death & Return arc in a later movie, and he'd probably show up in the afterlife (which would be another concept carried over from the 'unmade' Superman film projects, now that I think about it).

Barring that, I think we've probably seen the last of Hologram Jor-El (and, by extension, the Fortress of Solitude/scout ship).

I think Jor-el is gone now. And I'm ok with that. I liked Russel as Jor-el, but Superman can figure things out on his own now.
