Jordan Peele to Get Out!

Allison Williams was the one I was worried the most about. She totally delivered. Bright future.

Yea, totally made me forget about her infamous kitchen scene in Girls.

Saw it today, and I did really enjoy it. I think all the critic hype built it up a little too much for me, but overall it was good. It's interesting that some people got slightly different messages out of it.

MY wife thought that the procedure started because the Grandfather hated being beaten by a black man in the Olympics. I pointed out he actually really respected what he had done, especially being the one in front of Hitler, and that drove him to want to create the procedure.

I also pointed out despite the movie focusing a lot of the racial side, it wasn't all about it, as the gallery owner that bought Chris even said it wasn't about his race, but hearing of his work he knew Chris had good eyes. He just happened to be part of this group where that revered those who were black for one reason or another.

Oh, it was racist, but not in the way people expect, lol.

With Allisons character
I went from thinking that she was in on it, to she had no idea what was going on, to she to was hypnotized by her parents. I kind of wish the later had happened. When she was trying to find the keys it totally felt like she was lost

Williams really is the spitting image of her dad.

Went and saw this twice over the weekend. Yup, that good. I would say I would give a 9/10. It's a near flawless horror film, that knows exactly what it is and what it's doing, and it executes it perfectly.

The fresh streak ended. Armond White's rotten review is finally on RT.

Of course...the predictable Armond White. The same man who also gave Moonshine a bad review, and wrote an article about it called 'The Myth of the Pathetic Queer'.

He's a self-hating man who doesn't understand the world.

wow, that movie made me really uncomfortable. I love it! I like weird stories like this and 'The Visit.' I prefer it to movies about haunted houses/objects.

I'd say the movie gets better the 2nd time you view. Especially once you view it from a different protagonist pov.

Yep the 2nd time seeing made me believe I saw a horror classic. Even though it has far more going on than the typical horror movie. Its not perfect, but damn near for this genre.

Sidenote: Apparently Grace Randolph doesn't get the end of the movie.

The grandparents were clearly just playing the part of groundskeeper/maid. So of course they were going to sell certain things while Chris was visiting. Also even though they have young bodies they still are going to have the conscience of an older person. So they are going to want to clean up the house and take care of the field. She viewed them as acting zombie like. When I never thought that at all/in retrospect. They are white people trying to act like black people in front of Chris, but not doing a very good job of it.

She was definitely the weakest but after seeing where Rose ended up, I like her casting a lot

Great movie and one I can't stop thinking about at the moment.

If you think about where she ends up....it makes everything better beforehand.

I also thought Kaluuya and her had great chemistry.
